Sorry misread your post, I don't think there wasn't much in the round, I could see it getting scored either way without the KD so that punch wins him the round and the two points imo.
It was a good fight back by Trout but you have to do some serious **** to get a 10-8 reversed and jut holding your own isn't enough.
I scored that round 10-8 Alvarez. Lately boxing commentators and fans have been getting carried away with the 10-8 vs 10-9 rounds. Trout, if he hadn't of been knocked down, takes that round easy. Yet, after the knockdown he wasn't dominant in such a fashion as to make that a 10-9, instead of a 10-8. For a round where a guy was knocked down, to be 9-8 or 9-9, the guy has to get off the canvas early in the round, and literally beat the other guy from pillar to post. Trout, didn't beat Alvarez from pillar to post for the rest of the round. He definitely did good work, but not enough to negate a knockdown.
Firstly thats a clear 10-8 round. Secondly when was the last time you EVER saw a KD round given as a 10-9 You have to literally beat the living **** out of the guy that Knocked you to get a 10-9 round. Thats the way its always been. That being said,I think Trout won the round WITHOUT the KD
