Agreed, this was'nt Mayweather-Marquez/Cotto/Guerrero, where Mayweather was winning rounds handily.
I'm watching the full fight for the first time as I write this post, I'm up to round 8 and like you said, only a few punches in alot of the rounds seperate the fighters.
I would have thought that with Canelo adamant to stay in boxing mode, Mayweather would have dominated more than he did.
Canelo was actually making most rounds competitive.
In fact, had Canelo just landed a hard combination in alot of the rounds, he might have stole away some of the middle rounds.
Mayweather was to reserved to walk away with the rounds outright and claim pure domination.

Canelo did err though. No way was he going to outbox Mayweather through 12 rounds in the mode he was in. Canelo needed to turn the pressure up and tried to take Mayweather to the ropes and he just did'nt do enough of that.

I'm going to watch the fight to its completiion and post a round by round later on.

It's as though Mayweather has a running score in his head and knows exactly where he stands within each round and does enough to shade each 3 minute segment. That's just part of his genius. But yes, the fight was closer than the shouting and chest thumping would lead one to believe. I have scored it twice, once giving Canelo 3 and once 4 rounds. He did well, considering his opponent.

Just watched it again myself. I made sure to catch every little detail, there were some things I couldn't believe in the 2nd viewing.

Ended up scoring it a draw.

there were alot of close rounds because nobody did anything that really stood out but floyd controlled the entire fight so he was getting a lot of those rounds by default

I had it 10-2, will be rewatching soon but honestly I rarely listen to the commentary, I go by what I see and canelo was outclassed. 7-5 is a unfathomable scorecard in my personal opinion. But we will see

I found it hard to award canelo rounds, he landed little and didn't throw more to make up for it, his defence was non-existant, LOL *****s. LOL.

I'm a Canelo fan, and don't have much love for Floyd.

    I scored it 9-3. I could maybe see 8-4 or 10-2.

Outside of that, I just can't see, whether it's CJ's (IMO) laughable 6 -6 or IB's almost as bad 12-0.

    Just wasn't Canelo's night. He needs a different game-plan.

What couldn't you believe? I'm planning on watching it again too. What little details stuck out to you when you viewed it for the second time?

I watched thrught a microscope, on HD, 4D, in Kligon language (Start Trek), naked with just tube socks while driking IWANTTOHYPECANELONOTMATERWAT juice and STILL saw Floyd school the hype job and I COULD NOT FIND A SINGLE ROUND THAT I CAN 100% CERTAIN/SURE/ASSURED SAY THAT CANELO WON. Not ONE!

    Stop people, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I've watched the fight twice, had it 10-2 both times. (And the 2 rounds I gave Alvarez were generous)

    Floyd dominated.

Activity is no scoring criteria, don't share that garbage. Floyd outpunched him in 11 out of 12 rounds and drew in one:

Claiming this fight was anything but one-sided is a flat out lie.

I have watched the fight recording 4 times since Saturday and I still struggle to give Canelo a single round. I don't understand Russian but if their commentators had it close then they must have be drinking the same powerful Vodka as Judge CJ Ross.
