Watched this fight through You Tube ,on my new 42" TV , nice to see it on the big screen .
Very fast paced ,exciting heavyweight fight.
It got me thinking about the last time I saw a great heavyweight scrap, and just as sad ,when am I likely to see another?

I've been watching a heap of Holmes lately. Thoroughly enjoyed watching his scraps with Witherspoon, Carl Williams and even Bobick from the Ali -v- Frazier III undercard.

That was the fight that convinced the doubters like Cosell and showed them that Holmes was for real. Holmes basically dominated Shavers in that first fight and put on a brilliant boxing exhibition.

If people leave the US they don't eventually fall of the edge of the world. I live in the UK, of which America is a colony,[ we would have colonised Portugal, but there's nowt there but golf courses] . Holmes/ Cooney was gratis in G.B. I taped it to keep on the Sunday morning, still got it on VHS.

Had to come back,it's occured to me that the Holmes /Conney fight might have been P4V.

Am certain the Holmes /Cooney one was free in GREAT BRITTANIA though.

Wait till this saturday Eddie Chambers vs Tomasz Adamak, even if there is a lack of drama, will show pretty high level boxing (compared to the rest of the bunch during today) at a competitive level. I'm looking forward to this moreso than I can remember for a heavyweight fight.

    No probs :thumbsup

While it won't exactly be a Holmes-Shavers you have two well schooled heavyweights. For me the winner of this one is clearly the third best heavyweight in the world. Its as good as it gets and at least theres no ugly Klitschko style involved (I respect them, but struggle to watch them).
