Look i never said his opponents have been good. Im with you all on that. But if you think he could get a big fight right now, your joking. He doesn't have a name in the US. In Germany? Well he does.
I have no doubt Sturm can hang with both Pavlik and Abraham. Its worth noting that guys like Shannon Taylor, Ayala etc etc have gone deep into the fight with Abraham. Sturms defence and chin, is better then these 2 fighters. And he also has a great jab and solid workrate which will win him a lot of rounds against Abraham. Prior to the weekend i thought Abraham UD. Now im begininning to think Sturm can beat Abraham. As for Sturm vs Mundine, Sturm probably is in the box seat. But if Mundine comes in hungry, the skies the limit.
Sturm quite easily (if it even happens). Mundine lacks the heart and courage to trade with someone world class. Plus his last fights have been a poor preparation for a guy like Sturm. He should fight Soliman again, then maybe another Argie cab driver as a tune up, after that maybe fight a shot Green- that way he'll not ever have to test his abilities again and get out of his comfort zone- retiring with a little bit of coin and absolutely no legacy to speak of.:good
Dantes you make me laugh. In fact all of you do. He stood there and traded with Green for the 2nd half of their fight. He chased down Kessler in the 12th. And he also chased down Ottke in the 8th and went toe to toe. Double standards here fellas. It may be wise if you all watch the fights. Because saying Mundine won't stand and trade with Sturm is complete bull, he stood there and traded with Green.
Your love of Mundine makes me laugh too. To think of all the fighters out there who actually fight the best, don't talk **** and are in it for the legacy, the test of will and courage rather than the money- and yet you back an embarrassment of a man...who you continually have to defend due to his weak career. He fought Green years too late, he said Ottke 'hits like a girl' then got KTFO :rofl and Kessler bullied him the whole fight..wow he fought back a little in the later rounds- maybe if he did that during the 'whole fight' he may have had a chance (thats what boxers are meant to do remember). Mundine's diminshed in speed, hand-eye co-ordination (cyclops) and opponents (hard to get worse I know). Sturm would **** him.
Actually i find it funny when people revert to things like this saying you love someone or your a nuthugger. In fact i watched all 3 fights over the weekend. After i watched Sakio win the contender (DVD). Now im 100% certain he stood there and traded with Green for the entire second half of the fight. The 12th round with Kess. And he went after Ottke in the 8th big time. Now im right on this. Theres no doubt. You can all say what you want. But it won't change my opinion. I saw it with my own eyes.
I'm not trying to change your opinion- I'm merely pointing out that you are wrong :good BTW please answer my question from the Vic Darch. thread: "Why is it that Preston Campbell and Scott Prince do not get abused (and they play on a bigger stage than Mundine did i.e for Australia) and Mundine did?
Nah sorry Dantes. But your not right. I watched those fights only 2 days ago. And i think you should to ASAP. Because your totally wrong. Preston Campbell and Scott Prince aren't well known, or well written about athletes. So its impossible to judge. You seem like you have a bone to pick. Watch the fights again.
Dont agree with everything here.....Green was in his prime....Kessler won the fight by many rounds against Mundine....but bullied.....not quite....he bullied Beyer and Sacia yes but Mundine went ok. However I will give you top points for that post..........thats some funny **** :good
So you should be I've seen the fights. Mundine lost the 2 ones that counted... badly.. He's not just disliked here, it's like that in America and UK too. If you ever leave the Aussie forum and mention Mundine's name in the proper forum, you'll see. No bone to pick BTW- you're just sensitive.:good
