If Inoue was to beat him, where would that rank him among all time 122s? and would you consider his win over donaire in your estimation?

If Inoue fights Doheny instead it's a duck imo

Perhaps, it depends on the circumstances. I'm sure Inoue wants the fight if it can be made, his track record suggests he simply looks to fight the best. But boxing can be a funny business and sometimes boxers over play a hand and negotiate themselves out a big payday.

Akmadaliev will 100% make the biggest payday of his career vs Inoue so it should be an easy fight to make given he has few other options that are anywhere near as lucrative but as he has mandatory status it might complicate things as he might want to force it to purse bids to maximise his purse. I assume that's why we haven't heard anything recently. They have until the 14th of July to reach an agreement or it goes to purse bids.

I think the mentioning of Doheny as an option is likely a negotiation tactic to get Akhmadaliev's purse demands lowered. I assume Akhmadaliev is playing hard ball as Inoue's other recent fights were pretty quickly signed and announced.

It's a mandatory isn't it? So purses don't really need negotiating do they not?

Boxing isn't that easy, if it was you'd never have purse bids. Sometimes the mandatory wants more than his 25%, like when Whyte argued for more against Fury and then the WBC turned around and offered him less for being so cheeky. Then you have all the other details like gloves, ring walk, etc.

TJ Doheny's next for the Monster in September then Sam Goodman after that. The Uzbek needs to take a number & get in the queue.

A cooked Casimero would be a better fight than a cooked Doheny. If Inoue’s gonna fight a bottom top 10 contender then I’d rather see him against Aleem, Cardenas, or even Alan Picasso but Doheny does nothing for Inoue and doesn’t even draw that well. MJ is clearly the best fight for Inoue right now.

But if he turns the fight down because he wants more money, wouldn't he then lose his mandatory spot?

Mandos are the easiest fights to make.
