    It's a bad fight but in the current situation with Canelo not being able to secure an opponent I can see this happening. If he has to fight this guys for less money in front on no crowd probably better for him than not fighting at all.

    Why is any one at the slightest suprised.. I knew once Benavidez didn’t make weight that Canelo or Charlo was gonna fight Yildirim for the vacant belt.. They can literally offer Yildirim just 1 million and he’s gonna take it.. It makes complete sense for Golden Boy/DAZN because now you can get Smith vs BJS and Canelo vs Yildirim and then Canelo vs BJS/Smith in a WBA/WBC/WBO unification fight to officially launch DAZN UK in May..

    Yildirim vs. Jeff Horn would be a good fight. Seeing Horn getting a taste of his own medicine with headbutts and wrestling would be great.

    The WBC are now a joke organisation, ridiculous, I would love to see fighters start dropping them, asking to be removed from their rankings, not paying sanctioning fees for some ridiculous version of a WBC belt and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens sooner or later.

    I mean stables of fighters, they all start going other routes and no the bothering with the WBC, look at Whyte, over 1000 days as mandatory and countless other liberties.

    This belt has been seriously devalued now.

    Why Avni Yildirim? There are plenty of boxers at 168 and 175 would would be better.

    Bivol would be willing, as would Beterbiev. A rematch with Jacobs would be a good fight.

    And the Kovalev fight wasn’t? Or Fielding? Or waiting to face GGG? Canelo is worse for boxing than Floyd Mayweather by a mile.
