Campbell is coming off a loss, which is why the fight won't happen. There was talk about Campbell fighting Haney before he fought Loma, I preferred that fight for him rather than Loma.
This is a good test for the kid. He needs to focus on this, keep Loma name out of his mouth and get on with the job in front of him. He cannot afford to take this bout for granted.
Jason Sosa is seriously underrated. Dude is pretty ****ing good. He had some good moments vs Loma and got robbed by Gamboa. Berchelt should get heaps of credit for his win over Sosa. Sosa would give Haney absolute hell WAR SOSA!!!
Yep, I’m aware. Still the loss was to Loma and Campbell is a much better boxer than Fortuna. He also has size and length to give Haney a good test. It’s still a good match for the young man but I’d be curious to see how he does against Campbell. I like Haney and think he has impressive skills for his age. He’s big enough to easily make 140 and would not look small next to Taylor. LW is a lot more interesting than it was a short time ago. Maybe Garcia will get his head on straight and make it more interesting. At least I hope.
I thought Easter lost against the Russian guy as well. Campbell lost his title bid against Lomachenko. People forget that Haney was supposed to be the original opponent for Campbell, but the sanctioning body let Loma get special treatment to unify. Campbell lost. He hasn't fought since. Campbell might want to get in the win column again to get another title shot, even if it is a paper title.
I’m sure he does.Im all for fighters testing themselves but after two big fights against Linares and Lomochenko he really needs to rebuild for the time being and get a sense of where he’s at.
Agree. I'd like to see him fight someone like the guy Haney just fought, or the guy Lopez just fought, so we can truly see where he is at.

Haney gets a pass for now imo but it will be interesting to see if he’s protected like those you mentioned.Funny how nobody mentions Charlo and Andrade anymore,they could be fighting each other as there is supposed to be a rivalry between em.
