Usyk had to fight Joshua again due to rematch clause.

Fury rematch was fine as 1st fight was very good.

Dubois rematch I wasn't interested in but Dubois had some solid wins to atleast force a rematch.

But if Usyk fights Fury, Joshua, for a 3rd time that will be ridiculous and I'd consider that Parker is being avoided.

If Usyk chooses to retire now then that's also fine but please no 3rd fight with Joshua or Fury.

There absolutely won't. I understand Parker is ya'lls guy, but come on. This is the dude who was terrified to give it a real go against AJ, who got out-boxed by Dillian Whyte, who got seven shades of you know what beat out of him by Molasses Joe, and who hasn't looked impressive like ever. Hell, he barely scraped by Zhang and then Kabayel turned around and beat Zhang down like he owed him money. Everyone considers the German more of a threat to Usyk than Joe.

I also don't understand the crying about "holding up the division." Dude literally just had a fight and they immediately called for him to negotiate his WBO mandatory with Parker. If he decides not to fight Parker then Parker will be elevated to WBO champ and Parker can fight whoever he likes at that point. You guys are making up nonsense to be offended about because you're mad no one cares about Parker. That ain't Usyk's fault. It's Parker's fault for being a bore, non marketable, and a rather middling HW. And in my personal opinion, this whole narrative about Parker being a completely new man is just as much if not more bogus than that same narrative which was pushed about Dubois. Beating a completely shot Wilder, barely squeaking past a 40+ year old who can't box past four or five rounds, and then dropping Sherman Clump who hadn't trained since his last fight and who got to the venue 12 hours before the fight isn't impressive.

I highly doubt that and if they did they need their head wobbled

His body of work imo covers him, and yes he should fight Parker but he has more than secured legacy and is chasing the bag now

Can't blame him and it's not like he is a champion that has bigged himself constantly with a decidedly average resume

Yes, I'd prefer to see it happen but I don't think it effects him too much as I don't see Parker as too much of a threat
He in no way fears him that's for sure

He has beaten far better fighters
It's not like he avoiding his biggest rival or threat now is it

Dont say Parker is either because that's simply not true

The fact is that if Usyk doesn't fight Parker, instead going for cashout fights, and then Parker goes on to beat the other contenders and takes over the division then there will always be that question mark next to Usyk.

It may not be fair, but that is how it goes. People will still find ways to question Usyk's resume in 10, 20 years time, "Yeah he was good, but he only beat 3 Brits twice and he dodged Parker" etc. Just look at how people still criticize Lewis for "dodging" Vitali and he actually fought and beat him!

Then he can start dropping belts and let the division move forward. I'm tired of needless rematches once to twice a year.

    I've no issue with that

He really at this stage doesn't need all the belts legacy wise

    Thanks. Likewise

I think people are forgetting his country is at war and that he will be donating money from his purses to help his countrymen out and I suspect that probably factors into his decision making re. which fights he takes at this stage of his career. Fights against Belly, AJ, or even Jake ''Money'' Paul are by far the biggest money fights out there for him.

Personally, I would rather he just retire or fight J-Park if not but Turki said he has no interest in that fight so there's a good chance it won't happen which is a shame and I disagree with it. But if Usyk does decide to fight on and doesn't fight J-Park, as said, he should vacate the belt.

I'm hoping Big Frank might want to stage Usyk vs J-Park in England. Usyk is very popular over here and J-Park is pretty well known and liked over here due to his many visits to these shores and there are plenty of Kiwis over here too

    That's how I see it

I have now given up on the idea or a Parker-Usyk fight. Fine with me if it doesn't happen. Give Parker the WBO title so he can start defending it.

Lol , Parker and kabayel fights are the cashout fights or do we think a rematch with old chisora or jake paul would be a bigger purse fight ?

Honestly Jake Paul yes, I can see it having a bigger purse, and Chisora sells well in the UK where a lot of the money is in boxing these days. And if we go by risk and work required vs cash then both fights make more sense by that perspective.

I was just thinking how if the Chisora fight got announced how a lot of the pundits would play up Chisora's chance a lot, we'd hear the phrase "gave Usyk his toughest fight at heavy weight" and "the first fight was close" ad infinitum.

I agree jake paul brings significant money and his fanbase but i,m not sure this outperforms a world title defence against parker . You have another point : against parker usyk would need to really fight and take a risk .

Boxing fans never cease to amaze me.

We finally have a champion who represents everything boxing is supposed to be about. He's here to fight and he fights everyone. His record is impeccable: no controversies, no failed drug tests, no catchweights, no shady scorecards, no abuse of A-side privileges (if he ever had some), none of the usual nonsense we've come to expect from recent champions.

He goes into his opponents’ backyards like no one else, and he has cleaned out two divisions. His last six fights have been against top 1–2 ranked heavyweights, so tell me when was the last time anyone did that?

And now, suddenly, people are blaming him for rematches? This is number one BS.

Both his fights with AJ and Fury had rematch clauses - mandatory ones. Blaming him for beating twice the two clearly best heavyweights of the last decade? That’s beyond comprehension for any sane person.

And now people are blaming him for rematching Dubois? Really? There’s not even a need to explain how impressive Dubois’ recent three consecutive stoppage wins were against Miller, Hrgovic, and AJ, because the obvious reason for this fight was belt unification, for crying out loud.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a fighter criticized for taking a fight for a belt. Chapeau bias.

Except he's not fighting everyone. He seems only interested in taking rematches. That's the whole point.

After Fury 2 he should have faced someone else or retired. Not make a beeline to a guy he gifted the belt to that he already knocked out (or in an alternative reality a guy he already schooled twice).

And look, it's not the second fights with AJ and Fury I have issues with. It's the idea that Dubios/Chisora 2 and Fury/AJ 3 is even being remotely considered as acceptable.

It's not. Instead we've settled for another champion holding up the division.
