Not likely. Looks that they does have intent to add some female fights with intent to increase viewership. This is reasonable, western promoters are doing this. Females too might be interested to watch boxing and if this might increase tickets and ppvs sales from customers, why not? Pro boxing is almost all about money. Almost everything in pro boxing is only about $.
I'm guessing the prize purses are 1/8th of what they were... Anybody follow the women's game? Even if super feather is deep that means there'll be a few 5-2, 13-6, 3-0-1 type of fighters.
Yeah 2 weight classes like a fans marquee class and a women's one would work well..... Who wouldn't want to see a LHW series?
This proves one thing. That promoters and networks are becoming even more entrenched and greedy than before. Sad.
The Super Six featuring the Super Middleweights like Froch and Andre was such a great idea and concept. It is a shame they never tried to replicate it ever since. It made superstars out of Froch and Ward.
