Now we know there will be a unified, lineal CW champ next month, with one of the best CW resumes of all time. Usyk and Gassiev both said they want to go to HW. So, what is the road for the winner look like? Will the respect and publicity garnered from the WBSS be enough to get a quick title shot? There is a big line at the moment in HW though, I don't see that happening. Is the winner going to fight bums for a year or two, waiting for a voluntary title shot? Or risk themselves against someone like Ortiz or Parker for a mandatory spot? Or just dleay their entry to HW until there is less of a crowded line up, when a fight against them might be more marketable as the best the division has to offer?

I hope Usyk shuts Bellew up first before moving up to HW. Beat Gassiev, Bellew, then move North and get a couple HW wins against notable guys before challenging for a belt. Or hopefully challenging for ALL the belts.

Well, look at all the fun Usyk's victims are having up there. Usyk (& Gassiev) will have a ball.:deal:

I was writing a long essay about how Top 10 maybe top 20 heavies are just too big for Gassiev. Doesn't have Mike Tyson freakish power, will be massively outsized in weight length & reach.

THEN I remembered Charles Martin was Champion & said **** it anything is possible

    LOL.

I said the same thing when I realized Tyson Fury won a few belts.

If the cruiser final lives up to the hype there may be a clamour for a rematch, which if they are indeed both moving up afterwards, could take place at heavyweight.

if they can't get a clear/quick route to a HW title, i'd stay at Cruiserweight and enter the WBSS again seeing as there's a lot of talk of it happening again at Cruiserweight

Usyk should beat Gassiev, but they both have a future as heavyweights.....................USTV will boycott Usyk vs.Gassiev, yet they will show women's boxing and Spence/Ocampo which was a dirty trick on the fans.............

Both have good future at heavyweight. But Gasiev will achieve more at heavyweight, I think.
