I don't think Marquez has a chance, but I sure would like to see him win.

As much as I like Pac, he could use a dose of humility.

Plus, if Pac were to lose, he'd have strong motivation to make the Mayweather fight happen, and he might even fight for an extra year or so, just to build his legacy back up.

3 division champion is good but not ATG worthy, especially today. Maybe HOF worthy career, but not ATG. Barrera was 11 years from his war with Kennedy McKinney when he fought Marquez and past his best. Marquez never beat Pacman. And the Johns fight and losing easily to Mayweather. That is not ATG worthy. It is very good, but ATG is a lofty status.
HOF worthy yes, but his wins do not say that he could beat other ATG fighters at those weights. Could he beat Arguello? Chavez at 130?

I tend to agree with MAG, but that changes in a big way if he was to pull off the upset on Saturday night.

Marquez isnt an ATG. But i do want him to do well Saturday. I hope he has come prepared cause this wil be his most probably last shot at Pacman. he needs to get atleast one win out of the three. But overall I have Pacquiao with a Ko in the later rounds victory. Wouldnt be suprised if it went to decision though.

I made a thread a while back, 75 % voted marquez as an atg.
I have this feeling, if he clearly loses on saturday he will be considered more hof rather than atg, kind of like calzaghe, trinidad, winky, norris etc.
