We have heard how Kovalev feels about his fight with Ward. We have heard how that slob Abel Sanchez felt about Ward/Kovalev We have even heard from spectator Loma and how he feels. He has little interest to watch them fight again. He obviously isnt a fan of Wards style. Have we heard anything from Golovkin himself? Im not saying we havent. I just havent really seen it. Apparently there was some video where he was acting like a diva while giving an interview about the fight? Is this true? I didnt see the video or even click the thread? Where was this from? Normally Golovkin is a pretty big deal over at the Scene. I find it interesting that they have nothing from him about Ward/Kova. Is what Floyd said true? Is he afraid to say Wards name?
Seriously! Cmon guys! Why havent we heard anything on boxing websites from Golovkin about this fight? I cant find anything. Hes normally very vocal or a hot topic at the Scene. But nothing! He was there! It appears boxing websites are afraid to ask Golovkin his opinion out of fear they may have to ask him a question they dont really want to tie his name to
Kinda odd right GGG fans. Even you guys have to admit this and when asked what he thought about the fight while Abel was interviewed he did diva out. Just like in the past, GGG wants none.
Exactly As usual the Golovkin fans do not want to answer the tough, biting, questions. They have gone as silent as Golovkin himself has on the subject of Ward.
I'm probably not up to date on events, but why is Gennady Golovkin's opinion important ? The fight is done. Ward got the decision. They rematch now, or they don't.
Its important because Golovkin/Ward is a fight many wanted to see at 168 in this last year. Ward approached them in 2015 about fighting in 2016. At the time Golovkin said he had other plans. Those plans ended up being Dominic Wade and Kell Brook? Hardly a great year. And since then Golovkins trainer has made claims that his guy can beat any 175lber. Also Golovkins fans claim he beat up Kovalev in sparring and spars heavys and cruisers while dominating them in such sessions So naturally Ward/GGG at a catchweight would be a big fight in boxing. Yet Golovkin seems to go MIA or silent in regards to Ward. Literally every boxing personality has been asked or interviewed on their opinion of Kova/Ward. Yet Golovkin, who was there and is a star of the sport, seems to be quiet
Eh. No. Ive heard what happens when Ward tried to contact him. Not worth my time You seem like another one who doesnt like to face facts. The fact is they wanted nothing to do with Ward at 168 and now theyll want even less knowing he can take Kova shots and beat him. Golovkin is looking rather cowardish IMO. Why is he not talking about this fight?!
I like to face facts. You say Golovkin won't fight Ward. I'll take that as a fact. So, knowing that, what exactly are you waiting to see happen ? Why would Golovkin's opinion on Ward v Kovalev be of any use to anyone ?
I find it interesting that we can hear from Paulie Malignaggi or Loma. Or many other fighters and personalities. But nothing from a p4p fighter who is near Ward and was talked about to fight Ward. It just goes to show you. The media will not question Golovkin about Ward because then theyll have to ask him if hes interested in fighting him. Which he obviously isnt. Golovkin is a media darling. They wont question him or paint him into a corner. Theyll simply accept his next horrible fight and paint him a great.
