its not really a mental idea is it?

if you are 10 stone you fight another 10 stone guy..12 stone another 12 stone but if you are 15 stone you will likely be fighting an 18 stone monster

There comes a point where weight is no longer an advantage. If it was shown that 25 stones was better than 15 stones, then most Heavyweights would on average weigh a lot more. The Super (17 stones +) Heavyweight who is a long term threat, has, the Brothers and Lennox aside not happened.

Simply move light-heavyweight up to 185. No extra weight divisions, just a weight spread that isn't completely insane. Simples!

I think that is very unlikely. But maybe Matchroom can get into the alphabet organizations ears, as that would be the only way I can see Bellew winning a 'world title', and I have not heard of an alphabet organization turning down a sanctioning fee...

It a silly notion , a heavyweight is a heavyweight boxing history shows us that

But of course Dempsey beating Willard never really happened along with other numerous such results

Is the same in the amateur, 81 kgs upto 91kgs is a big jump, there should be an 86kgs.

    I'd like to see a Light-Cruiser division with a 187lbs limit.

Well 190 was fine.. I think the Rocky Marciano type could take any heavyweight of any size.. once you go past a certain weight it don't really matter.. for me a geniune 200 lbs guy is a heavyweight.

But if you're gonna lump everyone in one weight then you better have Floyd Mayweather skills just to survive to the 12th round etc.
