    It seems like Paul Williams is slowly taking Verno into deep water, I can't see Verno surviving.

    I think the Doc stopped the fight because he didn't want to see Verno get hurt anymore.

    Good stoppage. The fight was going no where at that point. Aside from a very fortunate one-shot, Phillips was just getting brutalized.

    yes ..that ws brutalized...th hatton fight was BRUTAL to watch but should not have been stopped...this one should have been ..verno will be pissing blood for a month

    Modern boxing fans are so pathetically wimpy. When I started following the sport 30 years ago, boxing fans would ***** to high heaven about fights being stopped prematurely. Now they practically BEG for 'em to be called off early! :patsch

    A wonderful thing. Phillips was getting murdered tonight. Literally murdered. We do not want to see people's lives ruined in the ring. The victory was decisive. That is enough. You are an *******.

    I've seen two fighters collapse in the ring following a beating that goes the distance. I don't like it.

    Phillips was getting schooled in there...he was being so punished they had no choice to stop it...this is kind of punishment that can end a career if its stopped too late ...
