Lots of guys don't make weight on their first try. Chico made 130 his entire career up to that point and continued to do so for another 3 years. I find it hard to believe that he would be weight drained for one fight in his career and it happened to be against Mayweather. Just another excuse people use to discredit a great win.

if that's your logic, we should not discredit a lot of fights where in weight has been an issue already

including pacs win against oscar and morales

oscar was training in the weight weeks before, so basically he was doing all the necessary things in the ring already with that lower weight he is in including training with the mitts, shadow box, sparring so on and so forth...

Good posts and arguements here. But what about this. Where do you rank De La Hoya and Corrales among ATGs? :think

    Just something to think about.

. But at the time of the fight he couldn't do things well. He couldn't deal with the versatility of Pacquiao," Nacho said.

No. It's just easy to look the other way when you don't want to see something.

Corrales was overrated, and tailor made for Floyd. Look at the Castillo vs Corrales, a brutal fight, back and forth. Now look at the difference between Corrales vs Floyd and Castillo vs Floyd.

Still, credit doesn't diminish when a fighter is tailor made for you. But I believe Corrales was overrated to begin with. Good fighter, not great.

Hey dumbass Roach said in the Hatton/Pacquiao 24/7 show that he told Manny to attack Oscar in the first round cause he say Oscar look dehydrated badly in which he knew Oscar was killing himself to make weight. Roach knew all along that Oscar will kill himself to make weight in which is why Roach wanted Manny to fight De la hoya in the first place. The reason mostly alot of ppl (except me) pick Oscar to beat Pacquiao cause they all think about is size thats it.

I don't think Corrales that weight drain when he got beat up badly by Mayweather. After the Mayweather fight, Corrales still fought at 130 pounds when he fought Casa twice in a row.

And lets put this a clear fact, Pacquiao tko a shot past his prime De la hoya while Mayweather tko a prime undefeated Corrales who went on to beat very good fighters like Casa, Frietas, Castillo.

Wow your pretty thick , its not that hard to see. Oscar was about to see the back side of 30 in a weight class he had not fought in, in over 8 years; Fighter Oscar's age are more likely to move up in wight not down and for obvious reasons. Corrales was in his prime and undefeated when he lost to floyd.
