Regarding it taking 10 for DL to dispatch RJJ, one possible reason could be dl 'carrying' jr pursuant to some backroom deal or just a desire to give fans entertainment value. i mean lebedev is taking these fights vs former names for a reason - it isn't to increase his cw standing. he's taking them to make money which these 'names' probably help him due at a lower risk overseas.
Another possiblity is that RJJ isn't completely shot and is still fairly quick and harder to hit for a cw slugger like DL. Toney will not be hard to hit unfortunately

Toney has a style that ages very well.... unlike Roy and other ageing fighters. I really think there is a chance he will **** Denis up.

Yeah. Sounds reasonable. He carried Jones in last round and almost lost the match in points and also got hurt for his efforts.
    Great reasoning :patsch

Toney will be too slick and hard to hit.
Lights out will school Lebedev big way.

I didn't see the fight, but remember most having dl ahead on points. Plus you'd have to see the "official scores" at the time to possibly have a point. However, it was just a possibility I threw out there in this the most corrupt of all sports, but I could be completely wrong. Like I said, I don't think RJJ is as shot as others have pointed out so the fight could well have been on the level. BTW, really doubt toney's gonna be real slick at 43 and off a 65 lb weight cut

He was badly dazed by tomato can Greer and he weighed in at 217. He then rocketed upto 257 and looked shot to **** against Reed. Before those two he was outboxed by Fres Oquendo... Now he is at a 8 year low in terms of weight and fighting a genuine world operator who has good dig and a good chin. Toney ain't knocking out ****.

I'm a big Toney fan, but let's be realistic here...

Lebedev out fought Huck in Berlin and was robbed. The guy can punch and the way Toney has been rocked in his fights with Oquendo and Greer, there is a chance Toney will get hurt in this fight. His reflexes are gone and those expecting jirov type fight are wrong.

I was one who thought Toney could pull this one off, but too much suggests otherwise and I'm not gonna let the bookies tempt me.

Just listening to the man, there is no way he should be taking more shots to the head. I agree -- I don't care for Toney, but I don't want to see him unable to talk or tie his own shoelaces. But he is very close to those things happening, and one hard shot from Lebedev could be what pushes him over the edge. That's how pugilistic dementia works.

I think Toney get's stopped if Lebedev doesn't show him any respect. If Lebedev gives him too much respect then Toney might get a sqeak a decision based on clean counters. My money would be on Denis, I think Toney will look weak, slow and unable to pull the trigger, and Denis should capitalise on that. However, I'd love it for Toney to look great!

toney always slurs a lot more after hard sparring and fights

also he looked so bad above 230 due to the fat keeping him off balance

chance he gets robbed here as well

    go toney
