He seemed to be a decent fighter but that's besides the point. Kessler looked sharp for the first time in a long time, and that's not solely down to his overmatched opponent.
Im fond of Kessler, he's a warrior and a great sportsman too. He's got B in all categories, he's a solid fighter with no real weaknesses. He had a good fight, i'd give him a 9 out of 10 performance-wise. He fought an undersized up and comer. Never the less, he showed a good version of himself starting round 3 and up. Im happy he didnt get any excess head trauma, and happy he didnt have to do another 12round grinder. He's been waylaid with lots of injuries, and he should consider retiring soon. Who the **** does his hand wrapping? His right hand was bleeding!!! What kind of ****-wrapping is that? I'd love to see a Kessler/Bute fight, but i dont think Bute's promoter will let it happen, till AFTER he fights the Super6 fight. Bute needs to keep his 0 to promote a legit fight vs the Super6 king. Not to say i think Bute WILL lose to Kessler. I'd give him a 70+% chance of winning vs Kessler. But right now, its not the right time for Bute. I believe Bute is already set up to fight someone else in the fall. He'll take another safe fight, then fight the Super6 champ...
This was not the Kessler of yore. It was, however, a Kessler with much-improved footwork and a rediscovered sense of purpose with his jab. Not as good as pre-Calzaghe Kessler (who we're just never seeing again in all likelihood). Better than Perdomo/Ward/Froch Kessler. Welcome back, indeed! :good
just rewatched the fight and yes Kessler displayed a very sharp and fast jab thus being able to set up the right; he also showed good movement in the ring. But you guys must have seen smth that troubled Kessler in the 5th allowing Bouadla to hit him several times with the left: yes sir a straight right to the body. And then in the 6th Kessler employs the same bodyshot (only with the left) followed by a couple of others to finally close the show: he must have remembered Bute - Magee. Anyways a great comeback for the viking warrior.
the guy was made to order for kessler. tough which enabled kessler to get some good work it, essentially a moving punching bag. the fight was made so kessler could work on this balance and timing, and he looked great. I'd like to see him get ward in Denmark, but I doubt ward would have the stones to fight outside the US, given he does not fight outside of California...
Anyone that supports either Kessler or dirrel are pure and utter ****! Both these guys faked injuries so they wouldn't have to finish their obligation. And you are making a big deal out of a fight against a nobody? ****ing classic and typical!
you shouldn't even mention a guy who pulled out with a fake injury-unable to recall his doctors name-, to a fighter like kessler, who had a DOCUMENTED eye problem. does any fool really think that kessler was afraid of green, after beating froch....PA...LEASE, quit now.
"Both these guys faked injuries so they wouldn't have to finish their obligation." You must be borderline ******ed if you think Kessler faked an injury against Allan Green and walked away from millions. And completly ******ed if you think German and Danish eye doctors are not telling the truth.
Kessler looked atrocious yesterday what are you all smoking his punches had no snap to them and often missed the mark!
Sooooooo...... Kessler pulled out the Super6 after beating Froch because why? Who quits after beating a champion? Hadnt this guy been through a zillion injuries and continued to fight? plz drink a big gulp of SHUT THE **** UP, crackhead
You had a clean slate. :verysad You already got embarrassed and run off the board once. Why start in on the baseless hate? Any hopes you had of rebuilding some credibility have been dashed.
Yeah tell me what was kesslers so called eye problem that just under months miraculously healed. You are a ****ing idiot. They got out of the tournament while the gettin was good. The same with dirrel. Another guy who has miraculously healed. Intentional you are a putz! This I already know. Oh yeah kessler looked like a new man beating the nobody. He is so courageous coming back from that severe eye injury. Bull**** bull**** and more bull****! If you believe that then I have a bridge I would love to sell you. And the reason Showtime doesn't really care is because they can prop him up as a credible opponent for bute. Because he looked good beating a cabbie.......****ing classic!
You're sense of time isn't the greatest. Kessler was out of the game for 14 months. That would be over a year...
