Well done audley, very exciting knockout. My friends who know nothing about boxing were going off there head when it happened, as was I.
You cant compare this to "void" the peoplein England actually call him Fraudley cause time and time and time again and even last night he will just stand there and do nothing !!! I was at hsi last 3 fights and he has got something but is way to apprehensive to use it
What "crap about his shoulder" are you on about? He faked a shoulder injury? watch the fight he must have thrown about 2 right hands from round 2-3 onwards.
People will always find a way to put down a fighter whatever they do in the ring if they're injured, and if they win. If someone dislikes a fighter thats it the red-mist sets in. Now the main reason I think Khan/Hatton/Audley are hated is because they're all fairly arrogant. Strangely I'm huge fans of all three. Any boxer should be arrogant in believing about his own ability, it sells fights to hype them up.
well done for the ko,but the fight was shite, even before his shoulder injury,he was ****,im sorry,he is just lazy, his heart is not big enough(pls dont start with the "he hurt his shoulder, and he fought on"),he is no where near good enough for the hayes and klits of this world,if sprott can do a number on him(even before his shoulder injury)what would the big boys do to him. oh and he is a **** as well, the **** he spouts from his anus is just absurd, the man is a deluded buffoon:good
There are certain moments in peoples lives, that not only change that person's life but fundementally change what makes that person who they are. Sometimes it is a traumatic moment and the change is for the worse, such a significant moment that someone is left a broken man. But sometimes these moments strengthen ones resolves and the change in that person is for the better. One such moment has occured to a fighter last night. Here is that moment... This content is protected Audley Harrison was really up against it. He was injured, was under a constant barrage of punches and had been stunned that very round. Something happened though. Somehow Audley not only pulled though, but he utterly destroyed his opponent. This was something totally out of character for the usually passive Audley. This moment last night Audley Harrison changed as a man. This content is protected Look at his eyes, look at that expression. An absolute wild-man. No more can we say Audley isn't a fighter, he lacks the mentality, he has no killer instinct. Last night, this gentle man became a beast. Audley Harrison has been reborn. With the state the heavyweight divison is in right now you can be sure Harrison will at the very least work his way in line for a shot at one of the big four belts. I'm not foolish enough to see Harrison beating a Wlad or Vitali. However not many will be able to stand up to this reborn, killer Harrison. We will finally get to see some of Audley's massive potential fulfilled. I for one cannot wait.
Im not the biggest fan of Audley, but i must say last night was really entertaining, everyone is alway going to be interest in watching him to basically fall on his face. I dont think the critisism that he has or has had in the past is harsh, since winning the gold medal he has said a lot of things and never really backed them up. No one can say he does not have very good boxing skills but as soon as you take off that head guard and padded gloves of amature boxing then he is in trouble. I dont know why he complains so much he lost to rogan, won prizefighter and got a european tiltle shot!! how does that work???? Maybe just because he is Audley Harrison??? I will be looking forward to see who he is up against next, but for the love of God if he gets a world title shot then we should all just pack it in and go home!! Put him in with one of our heavyweight prospects or a euro prospect someone like Helenius. As for sky commentators just mute the tv so you dont have to listen to the crap they talk!
I am pleased for him. I had the same doubts about him as many early in his career, but the vitriol thrown at him on this board is ridiculous. Some of his critics are like a bunch of schoolyard bullies kicking a little kid around. The humiliating losses he has suffered in the past are not enough they need to see another. On a historical note, Max Schmeling is a previous owner of the belt that Harrison just won.
