I thought Murray would stop him late. Fair play too Kev! Quality performance.

  2. I didn't give Mitchell a shout in this fight, but I was wrong and I'm here.
keV surprised a lot of people. Showed true class and took some good shots too.

Kevin seems like a great guy, what a great fight! Big respect to the guy.

Really looking forward to his next fight.

My comment wasnt aimed at the people who thought Murray would win this fight - more aimed at the people who have been on here for the past 12-14 months giving Kev needless stick, some of which has been quite personal.

I notice no of them are on here today coating him off

Well done Kev. I was one that picked Murray but I'm happy to eat humble pie.

    Onwards and upwards.

  6. Fair enough mate. The personal stuff is out of order. But from a professional viewpoint he's lucky fish eyes, aka voldemort showed faith in him, because he'd have been within his rights to have sacked him off. Fish boy pulled out all the stops. Big television stage, good world level opponent to fight in his own back yard. Lots of promo to then hear keV had been ****ing about.
I'm just glad to see keV got it together this time. He was class. Top movement and some pop at lw also.
I hope keV realises he is lucky to not be with someone like hennesey!!

As has been said he always had the skill to do it and yesterday he showed he had the heart and focus to do it. Showed so much class after the fight which impressed me aswell. Great fight made up for the rest of the **** on that card.

With Murrays style it was obvious that the first person he fought with a bit of accuracy and good power would probably stop him. On the flip side if Murray had Katsidis type power he would have probably got Mitchell out of there himself.

    not really surprised
Quite a few peopel mentioned that Murray was a stronger lightweight but they tend to forget that he had problems against Yousef El-Hamidi

Great fight and great result from Mitchell, although I dont see him being big/strong enough to keep off a better opposition, I still see the same result if re-matched with Katsidis.

Fair play to him, completely shocked me with his performance. Proved alot of doubters (myself included) wrong and i tip my hat to him.

Would like to see a Katsidis rematch now.

Yeah he is. This is what Carl Froch said before the Kessler fight:

"Kessler is naturally left handed, but fights right-handed like myself and thus has a great left jab.

He is a big strong guy and can punch with either hand. He does nothing spectacular but everything he does, he does well."
