I hope Carl retires now. He has had alot of hard gruelling fights and has achieved what he wanted to. I will miss his great fights but time is time.

yes, i had johanneson two rounds up as well.

perhaps a little obvious but if mitchell didn't have such a good chin, he'd be nothing imo. i enjoyed his performance last night as he's very good offensively, and let of some decent combos to body and head, but as far as i remember watching him, he's always had the tendancy to parry shots with his face. makes for a great spectacle but i don't think he'll ever dominate at world level.

at best he'll be guided to a WBO title and hold onto it long enough to bank a few mil from more sold out shows at the O2.

warren certainly won't let him and khan fight, but i imagine if AAA beats guzman, mitchell will be the first or second defence.

Was a highly entertaining fight. A really superb clash of styles. At the time of the stoppage I think I had Johanneson up by a round, but it was very close. Mitchell looked like sharp at the start, and throughout the fight certainly proved he has a good chin. But even at 22 he can't afford many more fights like that...it will take it out of him a lot. Far too easy to hit, and hit hard.

But highly entertaining all the same!

I have been saying this for a year now. Kevin has many flaws, including his punch accuarcy and ability to finish a fight. He will never be someone who matters at 130.

Such a bonus that they put this one on the undercard as on another bill it would have been worthy as the main event. Was a real treat!

Mitchell is one tough little cookie. Obviously there is room for improvement but he is only 23 and if he can focus on his strengths and work on his weaknesses I think he can get better. Has got tremendous heart and has gone up in my estimation after last night.

I thought he did very well yesterday againt a tough fighter in carl, but i wasn't that impressed with his power or ability to avoid shots. I think if he can improve his head movement and slip punch's better he can give good fights to the likes of aa.
