I don't think it's theatrics, but this fight will get made regardless. There's so much money to be made. These people aren't stupid. They know exactly what's going on and whats at stake. It would really be an utter travesty and blunder of epic proportions if this fight doesn't get made.

agree. I feel under any other circumstance Pac would've complied but under the hypocritical demand of Mayweather Snr I dont blame him in standing his ground. I also believe Manny will for the fans, do a u-turn and fight Floyd later on down the road but Floyds got to get rid of Snr for this to happen?
Snr is useless, hes like a spare ***** at a wedding.

Thats why you need one boss to say whats what.

I am not a big Ali (the person) fan but **** he fought every one, there is no disputing his greatness. Did he make all these demands?

    Manny Pacquiao testing update

    By Nick Giongco

A urine sample of Manny Pacquiao is on its way to Manila, World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) accredited doctor Alex Pineda told Fightnews and Manila Bulletin on Wednesday afternoon. Pineda, who also works for the Philippine Olympic Committee, personally witnessed the initial phase of testing at Pacquiao’s residence in General Santos City. Pineda arrived in General Santos City at around lunchtime, headed to Pacquiao’s palatial home where he got the sample, then was driven back to the airport so he could catch the plane bound for Manila.

The samples (a total of 100 ml)–labeled “A” and “B”–will be sent to Thailand, Malaysia or China because “we don’t have a Wada-accredited testing in the country,” said Pineda.

Results of the tests will be sent to his office or to the desk of Games and Amusements Board chairman Eric Buhain, who had requested Pineda to go to General Santos City.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), had ordered that tests be done on Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in an effort to save their proposed super bout set March 13, 2010, from being shelved owing to a disagreement with drug testing procedures.

Pacquiao said he has been insulted by Mayweather’s demand that he undergo Olympic-style testing for banned substances.

He can't now! He will lose the support of his countrymen. 99% of them thinks that pacman should sue mayweather and GBP

he will of course make a u-turn but only if it was demanded by NSAC and not Mayweather's camp. Manny is pretty clear on this

apparently his mother thinks so too

I saw an interview of her on tv but couldn't really understand it but basing on the comments I read, it looks like his mum does not want him to fight anymore

Its both of theirs fault.... anyone who cant see that is IMO, im sorry but biased one way or another.

If Mayweather would have agreed to have this fight like the other 99.9% of fights in the history of boxing, the fight would have been made by now. But, he might be bringing the sport into a new era of steroid testing, and for that i do not fault him.

If Pac would have just agreed to the style of drug testing, for the sake of the fight, like most other fighters would, the fight would have been made by now.

The blood of this dead fight is on both their hands....

Thats if the fight is dead.

It sure makes me appreciate my guys like Morales, Vargas, Cotto.... who just want to fight, no whining, drama queen demands or whatnot, they just are warriors that show up to fight.

I thought that Pac belonged in that bracket too. Remember, it's FMJ who's making all the 'whining, drama queen demands'.

i think both parties are at fault here- for being so stubborn and refusing to compromise on the smallest point. they came together so fast on purse, revenue, venue- and it seems this has made everything fall apart.

i genuinely believe that neither side is ducking the other- and that neither side is afraid- that both parties want the fight and the money. People that think otherwise here have tended to be fanatics .

ultimately what floyd wants is a level playing field- i think he really believes it - that manny is cheating- thru whatever. I also think Manny dosent take well to being dictated to, or being called a cheat. This is simply a case of both sides being right- and wrong- and both needing to compromise in the middle. random drug testing til a certain date. Floyds accusations of Manny are unfounded- but then again- Floyd took a big compromise on the 10 million weigh in issue- so i think Manny should meet him halfway here too. In that case Floyd was willing to take a hit in order to appease Mannys concerns- in this case i think Manny should take a small inconvenience in order to appease Floyd.

This fight HAS to be made- if it dosent - this sport loses- but most of all- we- the fans- and tjhe next generation of fighters lose. Events like this inspire a whole generation of boxers to take up boxing- just like Leonard Hagler inspired Hopkins, Jones, etc- to take up boxing instead of Ball or whatever - an event like this would inspire a whole generation to take up the sport instead of mma or whatever. We need this.
