Does this fight make sense? Would there be a bit of interest for this, marketed as a heavyweight clash between the best heavies in Australasia? (Discluding sonny bill of course, due to rugby commitments...) A win would be good exposure and a (decent) name for De mori before hitting the states. For chauncy another paycheck and surely a win wouldnt harm....well whatever it is he has in the pipeline.....maybe proof he can beat good prospects? What are your buggers thoughts? Cheers :good

alex leapai is australasias best heavyweight...then daylight.

demoron has refused repeatedly to fight leapai.

Welliver comes across as a bit of a novelty to some people but he is a decent athlete and not a bad fighter all things considered... He is better than any of Marks opponents but a good fight none the less. I am leaning towards Welliver to be honest... he has been the rounds, got the experience, has decent power which many dont expect and he doesnt stop coming forward. Mark is also a novelty to some people but he has come along a bundle lately and i will always be a fan because of his positive attitude, the way he stays in shape, the goals he sets for himself, he is humble, intelligent and just a nice bloke. When you have arseholes like SBW and Mundine getting around it is very refreshing to have the Wellivers and MDM of the world in your own backyard

i have it on good authority that leapai will fight either of these two pretenders any time any where.

however, demori has refused to fight leapai for ANY sum of money, and welliver wont answer his phone....

both these pretenders know they would be cannon fodder to australias best heavyweight.

A fight for Australasian bragging rights should feature the best two fighters in the Australia / New Zealand area. It could be argued Chancey Welliver is the best performed Kiwi, but a win against a shot and retiring 42 year old doesn't suddenly install Mark deMori as the best heavyweight in Australia.

Here! Here! i see the main stream media or the boxing public did not follow this fight just the loyal Demori cheer squad who haven't woken up to the fact he and his team are dreamers buying a worthless title fighting a used up past expiry journeyman and thinking he is a top tier heavyweight. Is the boxing public or even DK really interested in this guy. DK is a businessman boxing is a business, if he cannot attract free to air tv let alone PPV there is no demand for people to watch him fight, King won't make money from him challenging for a world title. Wake up and smell the Roses the faithful fanclub and see what he really is......

I see the fight being even either guy could win, easily best fighter for both guys records thats not at the tail end of their career, as both guys are still young and moving up. These are the fights they both should be having.

Hey all. This' a fight I'd like for sure. I'm not sure of Marks angle... He won a continental title for a title I am champion of, but when I asked him on his wall on facebook if he wanted the real ABCO title he kinda danced around the question.
It is a fight I'm keen to fight & even be willing to go to Perth if thats where the fight should land, or if King does decide to bring him back to the States, there are plenty of good venues we can pick from there as well.
    Cheers

Would love to see this fight happen in Perth and if both teams get in touch I am sure the ABCO title would look great in purple :)

All due respect to Mr. De Mori but this is a savage 1 sided beating. Welliver would overwhelm him from pillar to post. De Mori may land some shots but he doesn;t have the power to break Welliver's 360 HW Round streak of never getting dropped. Just to be fair to Mark, I'd say it would be 11-1 in terms of rounds, if he can go the distance.

Thought you were pretty well set to meet Seth Mitchell provided he gets past Chazz Witherspoon on April 28th?

A Mitchell fight makes much more sense. Particularly financially.
