Pretty crazy that he's 1-3, but its not as bad as it lucks. Did the best job against Jones until he got strangled, was a victim of a 3 rounder and a sucky judging system against Rampage, and just got caught by Shogun. He's still a LHW elite in my eyes.

 

Yeah hes still an elite. No shame in losing to Shogun and Bones. Dont see a rematch going any differently though. Machida was great, Bones took him down once and elbowed a hole in his head. Not much Machida can do about that

Theres on one else to beat at 205 that isnt Anderson Silva. Make that superfight then lets see Bones move up

Machida should get an easy fight now to regain some confidence

 

i actually had him winning that rampage fight, but yes, i feel he is elite too...not to mention the LHW is quite talented

 

Sorry dummy, we've had this discussion and nobody agrees with you that Chuck's Chin sucked. Everyone agreed that prime Chuck and Rampage were fairly even in the Chin department though they did give the edge to Rampage. You, however still parade your little poll results around like the resounding answer was, "Chuck's Chin sucked!!!!", when that wasn't the case. You whole point with that poll was to get everyone to say that it wasn't even close and when that didn't happen you now just post the numbers as if most people agreeing that Rampage's Chin was slightly better makes me worthless at Chinchecking.

Glass Jaw doesn't mean that a guy just can't take shots to the Chin, it means that he can't take head shots period. Jones, who isn't a particularly hard puncher, flattened him with one short, chopping hook. Shogun flattened him with a glancing overhand right. Machida's Chin is trash, which is why he's now #10 on the rankings. Expect to see him move up more with performances like that.

 

The division is very deep , Franklin , Nogueira , Forrest Griffin , Rampage 2 are all credible opponents , he'll take 4 - 6 months off (probably) and come back refreshed

 

I don't think machida chin is too bad...he took a healthy clean thump so the first and it didn't move him and the shot that dropped him was right on the temple as he was coming on to it....and he was up in seconds.... Not a bad chin.....

It's a question all of the other victims of JJ in 2011 will be asking. Realistically none of them showed anything against jones to warrant a rematch.

 

I think it was last year, or the year before, but Lil Nog said he would fight him because he doesn't really train with him at all.
