It's really not how Wlad fought so much as how he fought it's the fact that he fought the way he did vs the opponent he had in front of him. If Wlad was fighting someone like Peter no one would really bring him down that much(or atleast have a reason to) because Peter is a threat. Ibragimov is no threat. Lets be honest here yes he had a title but he was never that good. He couldn't even beat Ray Austin.

Cash, I was not saying their styles are a spot on match. That would not even be close to the truth. I would have enjoyes a highlight reel ko but you can't get that every fight. Let's be happy we have a unified champ.

    A. there was nothing defensive about his lame performance.

    B. there was nothing dominate about his performance

    C. winning almost every round, almost by default, while hardly throwing a punch doesnt warrant praise.

    D. keeping smaller guys on the outside and holding them when they get close will not when over any fans and doesnt excatly make you a defensive master.

so to answer the question... that was not boxing. as a fan of Wlad and the HW's, that was shitty and should not be comended. Anyone who defends his perfomance is being biased and perhaps blind. it takes more than belts to be a champion. He has the tools, but refuses to use them.

ps last night was the worst... yet Byrd, Brock, damaged Brewster, Austin, ect ... the fans are tired of the HW's fighting twice a year. and putting on sub par performances.

Right. Muhammad Ali, the Pea, Lennox Lewis, Whitaker, Hopkins, etc.,... all have fought "boring" fights and nobody gives them the **** that they give Wlad Klitschko. It seems to me that these type of fans are the kind that prefer this U.F.C. crap or an alley fight with guys no more talented than Arturo Gatti. Maybe they should watch that pro wrestling crap, or see all the Rocky movies, with no punches ever missing and everybody getting their blocks knocked off and noses busted, in other words, just primitive slugfests all the time. Boxing is too sophisticated for them. The great fights happen, and ko's occur, and so do the more scientific, tactical type fights as well.
