I agree Run Forrest Run ......... that was pathetic, i've never seen someone run faster to get out of the ring, in all seriousness, if he was stunned there's no way he could ran like that back to the sheds. atsch
Well, judging by your user name, Im guessing you are one of those boxing fans that hate MMA because you dont know **** about it. Your opinion means 0 on an MMA forum :good
And for the first part of our seminar today, we are going to learn "what not to do when fighting Anderson Silva, oh wait sorry ,what not to TRY and do when fighting anderson silva"
I'm not even an MMA fan and that was awesome :good. Watched the whole fight earlier and it was a great performance from Silva.
GRIFFIN UNINJURED FOLLOWING KO LOSS Following a devastating knockout loss to UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 101 on Saturday night, former 205-pound champion Forrest Griffin wasted no time getting up from the mat and quickly exiting the Octagon. At the post fight press conference, UFC President Dana White said he hadn't seen or heard from Griffin after the fight and he could be "back in Georgia" at that point. Hes an emotional guy, commented White. He came into this fight confident that he was going to beat Anderson Silva. Reports surfaced on Sunday that Griffin had suffered a jaw injury and that was the reason for his hasty exit, but MMAWeekly.com was able to confirm with sources close to the fighter's camp that he is physically fine following the Saturday night fight. Griffin suffered no broken jaw and he is physically okay. Griffin, who is ranked as a top five light heavyweight, faced Silva Saturday night in the co-main event, and struggled with the Brazilian's speed and unbelievable accuracy during the bout. After two knockdowns early in the round, Griffin was caught with a quick straight right hand that put him down on the canvas for the final time as he waived to the referee to stop the fight.
Nice KO.. silva is a beast and i hope he stays at 205 and fight the big boys. Silva vs Rampage would be nice.
Watch the fight again you can actually hear Anderson's fist hit Forrest in the face. I had to watch the replay to even see the shot it happened so fast but after you see it and hear it it becomes evident that Forrest did get KO'd. Plus they would not use one of there biggest money makers for the losing end of a fixed fight, nor would Anderson or Forrest take part in a fixed fight.
Forest's damn lucky he got felled by that pinpoint left jab..... look at the right Anderson throws just after :admin
He did get hit by a punch, but but it only grazed him. In fairness this Griffin chap is off balance with his stance and footwork and also badly telegraphing his punches. This is not top class boxing here folks.
Its not boxing. Its mixed martial arts. In boxing they don't worry about kicks, knees, elbows, chokes, takedowns etc. You really think a traditional boxing stance and approach works with MMA? With MMA its called striking.
