So i guess when the ref signals to fight

    That mean's dont fight?

  2. Floyd must be losing it, i can never stand the guy inside the ring hes one of the cleanest fighters ever. How can a fighter lower himself so damn bad.

I think we can all agree it was another night boxing could have done without. Was Floyd in the wrong on the Ko? No, but how many people out there are saying "boy, that was 60/70 dollars well spent! I loved watching a hopelessly overmatched guy get frustrated and resort to blatant cheating, then get knocked out when he wasn't trying to fight! I must remember to get the next boxing pay-per-view" All of it, the no chance opponent, the headbutting, weird kissy kissy stuff from Ortiz, confusion over the fight having resumed, cheap shot KO, post fight shouting from Mayweather and Merchant, none of it showed boxing in the best light.

it's funny listening to people trying to justify Floyd's actions. For the so-called pound for pound number one, that was pathetic. It was also extremely dangerous and nasty, from Mr caring.

This statement shows how ill informed you are. Anyone who's at total rest and doesn't see a punch coming will get KO'd I don't care who you are. Plus, it's the chin FFS. It's a lot different impact-wise when you're on guard for incoming punches. This fact isn't rocket science. :patsch

That's coming from a guy calling for an even playing field with regards to fighting.

That only shows what kind of a little person is lil floyd, a coward and an opportunistic cheat.

What Mayweather did while legal and within the rules of boxing was damaging for the sport. Mayweather like it or not, as a top fighter is an ambassador for the sport of boxing. While he didn't break any rules it was unsportsmanlike and his behaviour in the post fight interview was also very unprofessional.

Sportsmen are role models, what they do in and put of the ring as public figures has repercussions on the sport itself and on those who watch it.

    An unexpected punch or blow.

Considering the ref had stopped the action, Ortiz was looking at Cortez and had his hands down, its safe to say he wasn't expecting it.

Also, even Emmanuel Steward called it a sucker punch.

Of course you could argue what Floyd did was legal, but it felt cheap. Ortiz is an *******, too. Edison Miranda is a dirty fighter, but at least he doesn´t pretend to be a nice guy. The referee yesterday sucked.

So in the end yesterday there were only looser. The fans lost, Ortiz lost, Floyd lost, the ref lost. **** them, I will never watch a fight involving Ortiz or May again (unless it is Pac vs. May)
