The ref was looking to see how much time was left and that's when he decided to find anyway to prolong the count to save Bute. It should be the easiest thing to protest though, it's so clear what the ref was doing.

Why was Hatton-Mayweather a black eye for boxing?

Hatton is eating turnbuckle either way. Holding or no holding, Mayweather was cleaning up after the first 4-5 rounds or so.

Despite the ref and decision, Andrade won the night and accomplished what he set out to do. Bute did not. Everyone knew Bute would outpoint Andrade, the question was whether he chin and stamina could hold up to Andrade's will for 12 rounds. I think we got our answer. Take away the biased ref, the excessive holding, and the absence of infighting, and it becomes even clearer. Bute may have won the decision, but Andrade won the fight. Although, the belt would've been nice.

To be honest he should have stopped the fight solely on the condition Bute was in, all over the place without the legs, but if he chose to give him this benefit of the doubt then at least give the proper count and he didnt do that. Thats just plain wrong.

    So what.
He got KO'd in th 12th.
    That means Andrade was better.
    The decison means nothing.

You are DEAD wrong. It has been proven through the RULES of the fight that the fight ended fairly and exactly the way it should. Bute beat the 10 count and was on his feet at the end of the 12th round. The time-keeper did not know the rules and should have rang the bell as soon as he was on his feet, provided there was no time left in the round. The ref was busy with Andrade as he was NOT in his neutral corner, as he should have been.

Sorry but facts are facts. And I was rooting for Andrade, for the record.

lol, my suggestion that the time keeper didn't know the rules have now become a fact.

Technically,by the rules it was ok,the ref's objectivity is questionable

According to the rules, the fight was over the moment Bute made it up onto his feet, four seconds after the end of the three minute period; he beat the count. If the rules don't matter, it doesn't matter who was given the win anyway. It was a good, exciting fight and we all enjoyed it. Andrade deserves a rematch and I'm sure he will get one. Let's leave it at that.:thumbsup
