    phaion..

maybe from my lack of boxing knowledge this comment is wrong ... but from the link you gave of "applied pressure"

i didnt even think castillo won that round..

i mean he would get floyd into the corner like you were saying but floyd landed cleaner punches.... i dunno maybe i need it explained a little more in depth

Wrong, if he gets in the ring with either Cotto or Margarito (prime WW threats who actually pose a threat) then I would respect him even if he lost.

Thats the difference between most Fraud Groupies and real boxing fans. Fraud groupies are his fans simply cause he's "undefeated".

Real boxing fans are fans of fighters like AM, Cotto, Vasquez etc beacause they dont run from the biggest challenges/threats, they run to them.

The main weakness I see is that he takes to long to get into the fight. The first three to four opening rounds he's all defence and figuring his guy out. Now, this has worked so far, but it also gives an advantage to the right boxer who will come along and sweep the early rounds. It would have to be a technical boxer not trying to get Floyd to fight but one who will decide to win on points and go the 12.

    :-(

A guy who calls Pernell Whitaker a runner, and Floyd Mayweather a coward, is a REAL boxing fan in your opinion?

Then I'd rather NOT be a REAL boxing fan in your opinion?

I'd rather be a REAL boxing fan in MY opinion.

Boxing ain't all about slugging, trading, and blood and guts. It's a science, and the ones who realise this are usually the ones that are the most successful (e.g. the ones you call cowards or runners)

    :thumbsup

So far? His career is over, and it worked for the whole thing, against nearly every array of style under the sun...

why did I never call Pernell a coward, even though I personally despised his boxing style?

so far this is the kind of example i was looking for.. PERFECT!!

something floyd does every fight and will continue to do throughout his career and you could use it to YOUR advantage if you were fighting floyd

    i applaud you

    :clap::clap::clap:

i was thinking this but it slipped my mind for some reason... this is something i could definitely see hurting floyd...

ala bernard hopkins vs jermain taylor pt 1... which i thought bhop won when i first saw it

in other words you run from debates like your hero runs from real threat fights. ok.

Everyone in boxing has retired at some point or other and they're back the very next year.

True, and there's a decent possibility with Floyd... But I wouldn't count on it. I think we've seen the last of Floyd in the ring, sadly.

Judah was a much bigger WW threat to Mayweather than Margarito. Judah was able to match handspeed and power with Mayweather. But that win is somehow discredited right? The same fighter who was one of Cotto's benchmark's is discredited now. But, you're insane if you REALLY believe that Margarito is a threat to Mayweather. Cotto is a possible threat, but Margarito? Why is he such a threat? Explain.

So calling Floyd a coward is actually a legitimate "debate", just as only liking blood and gut sluggers is the only way of being a real boxing fan?

    :good

    Cheers for the good laugh.
