What did FW's show do for him last week?

I think it is incumbent on us to try and weigh this up objectively. On the one hand we have the boxnation card which featured one fight worth seeing. on the sky card we have an epic showdown between the two most important cruisers in the division ..... A grudge match of biblical proportions and , once the fight caught fire, a quality matchup.

Dumbing down of people in general. Listen boxing crowds of the past actually politely clapping impressive bursts of action. I must be going doolally, I actually enjoyed Gavin v Skeete. I've even sat through it again on a repeat. I actually enjoy "boxing". When boxing matches are advertised by showing a series of brutal KOs I feel embarrassed in non-boxing fan company.

 

That is out of order. I also thought you having a dig at Audley the other day on here was too though. At the end of the day he's an Olympic gold winning European champion who challenged for a world title and I thought someone at your level of involvement would have known better.

Reading Frank's column it may have ended Chisora's career via eye damage. Clearly Frank sees Fury as the future of his channel even though he doesn't promote him currently.

Well...
Boxnation clearly isn't doing very well currently- even taking out the subscriptions/viewing figures debate by the number of televised domestic cards shown on the channel you can see things aren't going as planned. European cards now seem to have migrated to Channel Five/Eurosport also which isn't a good sign either. The only thing that the channel regularly seems to put on now fight wise are American promoted cards.

That said if their backers want to keep the channel going then they can for the foreseeable future. I suspect the Bad Blood show probably put on around 20k subscribers for Boxnation which should be viewed as a marginal success in my opinion.

You honestly don't have a clue so don't pretend as though you have the slightest idea about anything you state in your posts.

If you think that only 20k subscribers were added because of the Bad Blood card then it just shows how little you know.

 

When they were looking to get the IPO done earlier in the year there was an article that said they needed 150k subscribers to break even and they were currently on around 100k (haye chisora time they had 250k but that dropped to around 80k not long after) - frank did say that it actually made a profit this month (granted if he pays the fighters in December for the main event instead of November then he could say that) but I wouldn't be that shocked if they did hit that 150k target, the real challenge will be keeping them and I'd wager the vast majority of them will unsubscribe as there's nothing worth watching probaby until a potential mayweather/pacquiao fight as he hasnt got the stable to make another eubank/saunders fight

interestingly since the initial intention to float document on the london stock exchange:
- they have those teleshopping ads instead of 24hr boxing content
- their aim is to be the home of british boxing (only way how they could conceivably succeed medium to long term) but since this document they've lost the likes of paul smith, nathan cleverly and frampton is out of contract with them (and mcguigan didn't seem too committed to them after the last fight), khans next fight is on sky and they have only gained Tyson fury of any real note, and he's not likely to be in a meaningful fight on BN until the end of the year
- one of their key strengths is listed as reduced interest from established broadcasters - the likes of channel 5 and Eurosport have been getting more content that would have been on BN not that long ago
- Bill ives 'substantial financial contribution' is seen as a strength, personally see that as a weaknesses as if he stops the funding theyre in trouble
- one of their main fights listed is the flintoff/price double bill, guessing that got them excellent ratings so wouldn't be shocked if a gimmick like that happens again
- the bit about how certain people like to claim that sky charge a registration fee is shown not to be the case as they waive this from time to time (as stated in the document)
- they intend to have one major fight per month as they recognise that many people subscribe for one month, cancel and rejoin when a fight they want to see is on a few months later - nice idea in theory but he'd need an incredibly strong stable to pull that off, but he doesn't have that.
