Hopefully Taylor will take a page from the book of Sugar Shane (lost twice to Winky and Forrest), Oscar (lost twice to Mosley), and Joe Frazier (losing twice to Foreman) and realize that he should continue to box but take another road and not feel that he does not have a chance to be one of the elite fighters out there.
that is exactly what he said. kelly said he will fight anyone who wants to fight him unlike a lot of guys in the sport that are ruining the sport. he also said that the first fight was a gger accomplishment because that is whenhe won the world title. thats about it.
Anyone got the vid? I saw it streamed so I didn't catch the post fight interviews. JT did very good. I expected him to do much worse but he actually made it very competitive. It could've gone either way. There are just some guys you can't beat for whatever reason and Pav is the guy that always seems to have his number. Taylor is still a force in the division and I'm sure he'll capture another belt.
Taylor is a warrior, he has nothing to be ashamed for or feel devastated. He has the skills to be champion again.
:rofl Seriously though, I give Jermain a ton of credit for the work he put into this fight. Pavlik is simply the stronger man.
I saw the fight live on PPV, Pavlik clearly won, it was not ever close. Hell, he landed many more punches, not just jabs, but power punches, 117-111 for Pavlik was a fair decision.
