What did Judah and Alexander do that avoided them getting KO'd against Matthysse?

:deal, They got on their cycle & ran like there was no tomorrow.I find it funny how Lucas can walk/knock both down land clearly the more effective punches but ppl want to argue split decisions in guys backyards are legit wins, pretty comical.

Both controlled the center of the ring for large stretches of times. Doing so allowed them the space they needed.

Lucas was more conservative against Judah because of his speed and relative inexperience at the top level. He was better at picking his shots accurately against Alexander, but Alexander was lighter on his feet than Zab was when Lucas fought him.

I think a lot has to do with Matthysse never fighting such a slick fighter or big name like judah so he took his time for the first half big mistake

son, Matthysse was robbed in both fights , period ! Thats why now he fights more aggressively and he goes only for the K.O victory ! He knows that if he don't T/K.O his opponent the fight will go as the judges want , especially if his opponent is an american fighter !

Matthysse beat both Judah and Alexander, but was robbed by home judges. Matthysse almost knocked Judah out, but was helped by the referee, still, most agreed that Matthysse beat Judah and Alexander, Alexander was also beated by Kotelnik! Matthysse will knock out the winner of Garcia/Judah, no doubt about it.

Both are adept at rolling with punches and seldom get hit with combinations.

Matthysse lacked confidence in the Judah fight, his first real step up. They were boxing Judah and didn't go for a KO.
Slow start against Alexander as well. Not a good strat in a 10 rounder, which also wasn't what they had prepared for, it was supposed to be a 12 rounder.

Neither fights were robberies, yes the Alexander 96-93 card was dodgy, but the fight could legitimately be given to him 95-94, just as it could be given anything up to 96-93 Matthysse, you need to start scoring the rounds and not the fight overall, yes the rounds which Matthysse won he won big, but that can only score him a 10-9 (10-8 with a KD)

And Judah beat him, the only way it to give that fight to Matthysse is if you are trying to give him it.

A combination of Alexander and Judah -- who are mobile and have a good defence -- fighting negatively, and Matthysse not showing any sense of urgency like he's been doing recently. By nature, he's sort of a boxer-puncher who likes to set up his shots before unleashing. That's how he was accustomed to fighting when facing them two. But had he known the judges were gonna' be harsh on him, he would have fought them like he's been fighting his last 5 opponents. Those 'robberies' have made him more of an aggressive puncher that prefers not to leave things in the hands of the judges.

    Like people have said.

Judah - First time on the big stage, was caught in the moment until he started landing on Judah, who can be awkward and hard to land clean on early.

Alexander - Alexander, another southpaw, is slippery and his defense is solid, has good (but wasteful) movement.

I thought Matthysse beat both, the knockdowns being the difference on both cards. As you hit world level, it becomes harder to knock opponents out, this doesn't knock Matthysse's power who can clearly hit hard.
