I've always the late 40s from feather to light heavy takes some beating.
70s heavyweights and early to mid 80s for welter through middleweight were both good.
Early 60s at middle was deep with exciting talent too.

    Bit harsh, rooster.

The early 70s featured Olivares, Arguello, Duran, Cervantes, Napoles, Monzon, Foster, Galindez, Frazier, Foreman, Ali. Strong champions from the little fellas to the big boys.

In the 80s you had Galaxy, Pedroza, Nelson, Fenech, Chavez, Whitaker, Curry, Hearns, McCallum, Nunn, Michael Spinks, Holyfield, Tyson and Holmes just off the top of my head. Again, greats across the weight spectrum.

And by and large, fighters fought each other in the 70s and especially the 80s. Can you say that about the 20s or the 40s where guys like Wills or the Murderers Row of middleweights were routinely avoided? I don't know enough about those eras to make a compelling case so am asking your opinion there.

I'm certainly open to being taught a bit more about your favourite decades as my knowledge is limited but you'll have to go some to convince me that the early 70s or post 82 80s were weak eras.
