What do you think about Chavez vs DLH sparring session?

    It seems that Chavez just let young DLH to throw all he's got without trying to answer much, and he still floored him

    does anyone knows what year it was?

    I think the year was 1990. Chavez was 27 and DLH was 17. It dont remember if it was before or after the Taylor fight.

    Oscar was just a kid. However, he still looked great. He was really putting it on Chavez in that video. Oscar was sort of prone to flash knockdowns in his lighter weights, even as a pro... but he wasn't ever really hurt.

    the guy also mentioned that this was the second sparring of the day...so Chavez might have been somewhat tired as well. But yeaa he was definitely just letting DLH do his thing

    i thought it was a good sparring session between a cocky young talent and the greatest mexican boxer ever. one question tho why was de la hoya wearing pillows instead of gloves?

    How big were those gloves that Oscar was wearing.Holy sh!t,they are bigger then both fighters heads lol.

    Looked like Oscar had on 20oz gloves and Chavez had 8oz or 10oz.
