The undefeated IBF and linear flyweight champ wasn't a live fighter? And linear Bantamweight champion Montiel was not live? What about Mithalane and Mathebula? Arce was a highly respected fighter who koed Vazquez. And Nonito wants Mares next.
So whats your idea of live?

This. His athletic gifts and the way he picks his shots is just phenomenal at times. He's like a mini RJJ.

Donaire would be bigger if he hadn't immigrated to America so young.

As it stands, he just isn't Pinoy enough.

As "must" as the Rigo and Mares fights are, neither of them would be better victories than Darchinyan @ 112 or Montiel @ 118. Rigo wouldn't even be a better scalp than Nishioka.

I rate him as P4P #3 behind only Mayweather and Marquez.

Anyone who has anyone other than those two or Ward ahead of him is highly questionable.

Clearly ahead of martinez at this point imo

how about he started to fight at 118 just this year and beat 3 out of the 4 in that division. Or better yet how about you learn a little bit about boxing and its fighters, its current champs before you start spouting crap

He is top 5 but Giampas an idiot. He'd jump Sergio and Ward if he beats Mares/Rigo

Why, did he beat Darchinyan and Montiel weighing 122?

he belongs where he is, but to win over naysayers, he'd have to soundly beat the mexican/ mexican american savior in the division, abner mares, then they'd have no choice but to respect him. a rigo win would demand respect as well, but not as much as a comprehensive mares win.
