What does Quigg bring to the table...

The only issue brought up by Cyclone was the co promotion though, so we have to assume that your theory of Hearn wanting Frampton, should he win, doesn't exist.

They both need each other, who does Frampton make big money against? No one else. Quigg actually has more options as with Hearns backing, he can get him fight in the states much easier than Cyclone can. Hearn has formed a relationship with the likes of Al Haymon, who has a lot of the guys in that division and the ones around it, but also teams like Sauerland. Cyclone currently don't have the money to make an impact.

Maybe Frampton is better, probably is, but they both need each other as much and down to promoters, Quigg has far greater options.

 

They can make Quigg an offer, you do realise that don't you? Thing is they don't have the money to do so and therefore surrender any power they could have in negotiations. Matchroom is the money in these negotiations so they, if they want to take the fight, have to take either the 60/40 co promotion or they take the £1.5 million, no risk purse. This is why Hearn and Quigg do have the power in the negotiations as Cyclone cant come up with anything close to the £1.5 million, meaning they avoid the fight or take it on either of the two terms that have been offered to them.

 

I don't understand how people can say frampton doesn't need this quigg fight. If he doesn't take it he won't fight rigo and Santa cruise will duck him so he's going to end up fighting a nobody. Both guys are in the same boat
