better start knocking people out or down or something..obviously youre not getting the nod in close fights...leave it other peoples hands and thats what can happen

Collazo lost because he didn't do enough in the last two rounds of the fight last night. Berto looked like he wanted it more to me IMO and that's what won him the fight.

With that said, last night's fight SCREAMS rematch.

Fights are judged by rounds.. If what you say is true, then the judges would have had to adjust earlier rounds to give Berto the W. Or, they were just giving Berto early rounds to compensate for any possible adjustments they would have to make in the later rounds. Like, giving Berto round where he was trying to in fight with Collazo..

I was, extremely impressed with Berto's ability to fight in and out. He was kicking Collazo's ass when he decided to stick and move.. It was absolutely brilliant boxing.. But, he did that for two rounds.. Collazo took 3 rounds off and there was a point deduction. The score just doesn't pan out, no matter how you cut it. That point deduction makes a rather close fight, a clear victory for Collazo..

Its almost like this was a big buildup fight for a PPV showdown.. I mean is the record seriously so important? Berto with one loss, versus Berto with no losses is still going to lose against Margarito, Clottey or Williams.. Its a sham, I'm sick of it. I want to watch a real sport, not a scripted one, like pro wrestling. :dead

i think despite losing his stock will rise and may get another title shot, not good enought to beat the elite, but good enough to give the upcoming fighters hell. something of a gatekeeper, but he's in a shark infested division so he might have better chances rematching berto or going down one division

Gotta bring it all for the championship rounds my friend, and I don't feel Collazo did enough in those championship rounds to pull off a win. It was a close fight, but Berto was the champ and did enough in the end to pull out a win. If Collazo would've won the 12th he would've won. Berto earned the win IMO.

He won't get the rematch and will be avoided I'm afraid.

Collazo has plenty of fights for him @147, Berto rematch, he is Margarito #1 mandatory, Clottey and Cotto will want him

Yeah, honestly I do feel he will retire. He has too much pride to continue being a sparring fighter for the elite fighters in the division and he's already played the backburner for 2 years, I honestly dont think he'll do it again.

I can see Collazo being avoided by the top fighters in the division because of his style and craftiness. If I were a promoter, I wouldn't want my fighter within 10 miles of him! But he will eventually get another title shot in the next couple of years because he will play spoiler and end up the number 1 contender for one of the abc titles.
