Dubblechin has taken over from Michigan Warrior mantle wise. Although there a couple of Canelo fans and one Whyte fan who could have a similar 'what does fail a test mean to you' thread made in their honour.
DC is the undisputed. Canelo fans are annoying but at least they worship someone who is actually good at boxing...
Time to check whether the consensus has changed since 2010, 2012, 2017, and 2020. What say you? Also, this thread needs a poll re-added.
Theres no way this debate actually existed. Floored just means knocked down to the point that you hit the canvas, also known as the floor like most knockdowns it's kind of another word for knockdown or a sub variation of the term knockdown because although someone getting wobbled and their glove touching the canvas as a result doesn't fall under the catagory of floored, its technically a knockdown by the rulebook
Floored is when you are struck with an almighty push, fall over and don't bang your head on the canvas and get up doing a cross between a break dance and a dad dance. Any punches which contaminate this process will not be factored in. This is floored circa 2022...
"Floored" is when you get punched, and fall over but DON'T touch the floor with any part of your body below your ankles. Example: "Big chinny AJ will get Floored by that feather fisted cruiser 100% I'm telling you man" "Unfloored" is when you get punched, knocked out cold, and DON'T consciously touch the floor. Example: "Dillian Whyteleafe was totally Unfloored by that uppercut eh" Simples.
LOL. I remember when this happened, and the clown who said it used a bloody hurricane as an example of where floored didn't mean being knocked down. So arguing on a boxing forum, where the only context is someone being knocked down, that other contexts apply. Hilarious! Basically trying to argue that a single word can only have one meaning regardless of context. Also reminded me that MichiganWarrior was the first poster I think I deliberately put on ignore - a habit that has served me well in the intervening years.
