    Alright there knockout artist?

I can see that already people are hating on groves and cleverly. You make good points about Ward removing the competitive edge. I just want to see Ward making the fights that could enhance his legacy and while Groves probably is a couple of years off Cleverly is a fight that Ward could make now and would be a great spectacle. As for Cleverly vs Dawson it could be a question of where it is and how well the fighter travels. I like Cleverly's style but Dawson is a good fighter at

. I think to make a true assessment we need to see cleverly Bhop first but if it was gun to my head, neutral venue I'd pick Cleverly by close decision as I feel his workrate would prove a bit too much for Dawson who has never shown the ability to fight at high speeds. However, I'd have no qualms with someone picking Dawson to win as I feel it would be a close fight in the 115-113 or 116-112. Although now that Dawson has been cracked albeit in 168 zombie mode he could have lost his punch resistance and thus cleverly's volume punching could hurt him for a late KO/TKO.

    Great talking to you

    Loudon,

You seemed to find it ridiculous that I am highly ranking Groves by saying he could prove too much. I meant to put in a few of years but not right now. As you can see a lot of people rate him on these boards. He is a great prospect and would really add a string to Ward's bow. The only better win Ward would have would be Kessler unless in those two or three years he wins some big matches at LHW.

As for Ward's latest fight with Pavlik where do you stand in terms of what this does for Ward and if this fight is even worth anyone's time. FYI I think it's a waste of time like the Dawson fight apart from to make money. Pointless win that does nothing for Ward and another loss that can do no further damage to the derailed and destroyed Pavlik hypetrain

The irony and hypocrisy from you is laugable considering who Joe was fighting at that age. Not to mention trying to sell Groves as being to much for Ward when he has done nothing. Get back down to earth son.

    Don't be a cretin

Pavlik is a poor fight especially for a fighter of Ward's calibre, if you had read the post you'd see I was touting Groves as a prospect and judging by the fact that you've never seen him fight you can't make the judgement. One day he could be a great fight and he could beat Ward not saying he will descend on Ward like a tonne of bricks and end him. But the fact is by age 28 Calzaghe had beaten Reid, Eubank (joint with Ward's Kessler win if not better) and Sheika. With Eubank and Reid would be in Ward's top five wins. Also the fact that at the time Reid and Eubank were considered fighters at world class level and sheika was at world level. Ward is now fighting a fighter who is far below his level whilst at the top of his game, while Calzaghe still had quite a way to go.

Once again, don't be a cretin

How do you know I never seen Groves fight? I have and he's good but Ward would destroy him. I can't even be bothered reading any more of your post because you print nothing but biased childish ****-talk.

I assumed you've never seen him fight (and to be honest you saying so isn't really much better proof) because all you do is troll and make stupid comments

Nice to see you after a brief period of inactivity, don't worry about being busy happens to all of us. Always great to hear from you as one of the more educated posters on ESB. Just a shame that posters like Dinovelvet appear in the same threads.

I called him out on his biased agenda towards Ward. He made an assumption on me based from his own his ignorance in an attempt to prove his point. Thats the very definition of a Troll. I keep my argurments based on boxing and not sad trolling accusations like a little girl.

Like I said I agree that Groves is still very much a work in progress so it will be good to see him develop over the next few years. As for Degale it will be interesting to see how he develops having lost to Groves although the liberation from defending his '0' could completely change his career path.

I must admit I hadn't really considered that one benefit to Ward will be keeping him active. After one fight in one year it will be good to see him fighting again so soon. As you said it will hang on pavlik's condition as to whether the fight will be worth our time.

    Nice talking to you

You dont value Pavlik as an oppopent because you dont know who he is.
