He had a good chance to get himself into a world title position against Pulev. Still baffles me why they avoided that. I get avoiding Ortiz as I'm quite certain he beats Whyte. Didn't Breazeale offer to fight him? So then he'd become the mandatory for Wilder. Being No1 in WBC rankings means absolutely nothing, unfortunately. If you aren't called as the mando, you ain't ****
Paint Dry Parker awful against Shug Fury, awful against Tony Dosh PPV and found badly lacking against Pudding Whyte. Stole a belt from Tyson Fury by fighting a fat pudding and never a top heavyweight.
Keep fighting top ten guys on the WBC side until he finally is installed as the mandatory. He needs to keep busy short term.
If Ortiz fights Joyce and Wilder and Fury rematch, that leaves both Whyte [should he beat Chisora as I expect him to,]and Breazeale out in the cold. How about if they fight each other?
I would have absolutely no problem with that. I think Whyte should fight Ortiz. Only problem I have is with the WBC.
lol at those saying Ortiz like he wants it lol.. The reality with Ortiz is he will keep fighting cans until he gets his cash out v Wilder... Ortiz has no intention of taking hard fights and really has only taken one in his entire career and since then he has been fighting journey men... He is only avoided because he won't fight anyone good....
Ortiz is not the one who didn't entertain Ortiz-Whyte discussions. He seems to have agreed to fight Joyce as well, which is a very risky fight.
am not a fan but Whyte will fight anyone in my opinion, can see Hearn wanting to keep Usyk away from AJ until AJ lands either Wilder or Fury so I expect...........Whyte v Usyk next IMO.
Chisora beats Whyte. Chisora knocks out Joshua in April in front of 90,000 at Wembley in the 9th round after slapping AJ in the weigh in.
