Everyone to realize he is the great heavyweight of all time? What will it take to realize he is the true greatest? Is it even possible with how fast the Klitschko brothers get ride of the prospects? Lets discuss...

its nearly impossible, he would have to dominate from 06 till in his late 40´s and set a lot of records, the weak era and his early losses hurt his claim.
He can definitely become a top rated atg heavy though, a very realistic goal that I hope wladimir achieves is to dominate till 2016.

    Is it a weak era or old stiffs who don't give him his recognition? Lets compare other sports...Todays NFL >>> 70's NFL.....Todays NBA >>> 70's NBA...Todays NHL >>> 70's NHL...Todays MLB >>> 70's MLB....Notice a trend?

How about being the undisputed champion of his era instead of trying to "share" those accolades. Not fighting the next best fighter in the division KILLS his legacy.

For starter he could fight with bad intentions when he is superior to his opponent in every way (read:'when he is fighting little, fat/old, slow or powerless guys').
But for that he would need his brothers warrior guts. I guess genetics don't deal cards equally.

Bad intentions doesn't mean lunge your chin to get a 1 round KO. But it does mean actually doing more than jab-pawing, grabbing/leaning and keeping distance until a decision (or corner-retirement). When you fight with bad intentions you excite. When you excite you entertain. When you entertain you win fans over. When you do the opposite, you lose fans.

It doesn't matter what nationality you are. Look at Pacquiao, Kostya Tszyu, Darchinyan, Donaire, Ike Ibeabuchi etc etc. All non-Americans and all embraced by the boxing public...because they are entertaining when they have to. Something Wlad can't seem to achieve. Luckily his brother sees the big picture

So really what you are saying is he should get hit more. All of the guys you mentioned took more damage than him to land their shots. Actually I cant think of a Heavyweight champ that ever got hit less. Maybe "Prime"Tyson.

So get hit more and finish opponents faster.

    Wlad have to retire.

After retirement he will get the respect.

    Same with Lennox Lewis.

Bad intentions doesn't mean getting hit more often.
Read my passage again: "Bad intentions doesn't mean lunge your chin to get a 1 round KO. But it does mean actually doing more than jab-pawing, grabbing/leaning and keeping distance until a decision (or corner-retirement)."

If you are fighting a dangerous fighter then ofcourse an overcautious approach and minimized bad intentions are justified.

But when you are fighting an opponent you overclass in every department then showing more bad intentions to express this class-difference more clearly (and indirectly to entertain) is logical and fighting in that same overcautious approach is not.
Steward sees that and tries to push Wlad out of this overcautious style when the situation does not demand it (e.g. when the opponent is half beaten and a dead man walking in the later half of the fight). But Wlad cannot transition off that style (he stays overcautious) and Steward has given up on that notion. Now he is trying to find an opponent that actually forces Wlad to make this transition. But unfortunately there are no such opponents in the current division (yet).

Look at Vitali. He recently said he wants to fight Haye solely to hurt him and knock him out (and he knows he can because he is far better). That bad intention in the ring alone will win him more fans over.
