Admit what Arran? That every country possesses groups of irrational overly ethnocentic, nationalistic extremist who find anything unfamiliar or based in another country to be taboo and wrong. I already mentioned that many Americans do feel that way and the same holds true for many in the UK, Columbia, Japan, Chad, Denmark, Germany ect, ect. Deep down there's a decent human being that exist within you though you refuse to release him amoungst society fearing he may be stepped on like an ant.

 

Arran / Caper, don't turn a decent debate into a slanging match.

I do believe that Caper hasn't refuted the suggestion that Benn / Eubank 2 was a more of a world stage than Pavlik / Taylor 2 though.

If Caper disagree's with this then say why....

Ok Arran I'll be sure to tune in for the Cotto vs Margo fight during mid-day according to your calculations.....HBO will probably be giving another showing of Predator vs Aliens around the time you calculate, but just to amuse myself I'll tune in just for you buddy.

 

Hmmmm. Caper you would be making sense if Cotto / Margo was being held in the UK!

If it starts at 10pm Eastern then that is 3am GMT. So people in europe have to stay up very late to warch big US fights.

On the other hand if a fight in the UK starts at 10pm and you will be able to catch it live in the US at 5pm Eastern or 3pm Vegas time which is obviously much easier than people in eruope have it for US fights.

 

Arran will ultimatly refuse to accept anything less than sumbission. The only satisfactory answer is something that plays along the lines of him being unequivocally right and me (or any American) being unequivocally wrong.

 

This is what I'm pointing to boys.......in what state in the US does this happen....please tell me.

That's exactly the point!

You stated earlier that it was probably easier for people in europe to watch US fights than for US people to watch fights abroad.

Arran simply pointed out that due to the time zones that wasn't true.

 

Still getting back to Arrans arguement of world stage he used the time zones to add luster to his point but what I'm trying to say is the majority of Americans did'nt even have a choice as the fight was not even aired in most households regardless of the time it aired.
