I'm no faint of heart who cries over boxers taking a beating but Gomez/Gatti, to cite this recent example, was painful to watch (then again, practically every Gatti fight is painful to watch from Arturo's perspective... )
I almost cried after Foreman knocked out Moorer, when I heard Buffer announce, "and ONCE AGAIN, HEAVYWEIGHT, CHAMPION OF THEEEEE WORRRLDDDDD, BIG, GEORGE, FOREEEEEEEEEMAAAAAANNNNNNNN." That was simply amazing.
Tyson/Lewis, it was tough to see iron Mike like that, never will I get as pumped up for a fight, as I did for that one. Brewster/Wlad 2, Brewster is one of my favorite fighters, to see him quit in his corner was not only shocking, but very sad. Hartley/Zelenoff, this fight was the fight I shed a tear for, I really though Charlie was the next big thing at welterweight, but the poor guy let pressure get to him on the big stage, it was hard to see a warrior like that quit.
I have never cried for a boxing match but I felt sad when Julio Cesar Chavez lost for the first time in his amazing career against Frankie Randall.
RJJ/Tarver 2 really let me down. I thought RJJ would come out and do his usualy thing and dominate. What a shocker. And Zelenoff/Hartley. Well, tears from laughter.
Audly Harrison V Williams...it was such a terrible fight, It was just so bad it was unbelievable...I nearly broke down crying.
When the judges gave the decision to Briggs against Foreman. I didn't cry, but was close to it. Someone else did instead, Merchant I think?
i'm no attention ***** bud. i've been here for a while now and i've never made up a story to rile people up or get them to reply to my post.
Omg, I remember that fight. I was just a little kid back then, but God, after that fight I wanted to take my dog to the Bulgarian Embassy and sic em on any body that came out. This was a fight I was jumping up and down and dancing and then when the result came out I was like **** YOU BULGARIA!
Not sure sure on tears, but probably the most negatively emotional I've ever gotten for a live fight was Calzaghe/Lacy. Not just watching a guy lose, but seeing his career getting ruined in the process. Ali/Holmes is awful to watch. I also watched Benn/McClellan several years after it happened for the first time, and I still have it saved on my computer for some morbid reason. It's a lesson for a lot of things, I think. Resto/Collins is another one that is difficult to watch.
