    Aldo vs Mendes 1.

Aldo is taking on unbeaten challenger Chad Mendes in front of his home town crowd and the adrenaline flowed right through him as he knocked out Mendes with a knee in the first round.

    Bisping vs Sonnen

This was an eliminator to determine the number 1 contender and Bisping suffers another close defeat. Henderson beat him clearly but his other 3 losses are all razor close but due to the timing of them it means he's still awaiting a shot at MW gold, whilst Sonnen gets the rematch he was hoping for.

Evans vs Davis in a none title 5 rounder, Evans did everything Davis did but a little bit better. In doing so he established himself next in line for the shot at Jones.

    Werdum vs Nelson.

In 2008 Werdum began really working on his striking making him one of the most dangerous HW fighters in the world. Since then only two men have overcome him, both world class strikers in JDS and Reem. Now he's back in the UFC with something to prove.

He's proven his class but has yet to taste championship gold.

Here he out classes Nelson as he announces his return to the division.

    Condit vs Diaz.

    No robbery.

Very close fight that could have gone to either man, this time it went to Condit.

Another WW on an absolute tear is Jake Ellenberger.

Since his close loss to Condit he's now knocked the prime right out of Jake Shields and has just survived a hellacious last minute to edge out Diego Sanchez

    Edgar vs Henderson.

Benson is the king of edging out close decisions and this is no different.

Edgar catches pretty much every leg kick in the first and takes Henderson down in the second but eats an upkick at the close of the round. Round 3 sees Edgar being the busier fighter but arguably doing the less impressive work as Henderson starts coming on strong. Round 4 sees another close round but Edgar gets caught in a deep guillotine. Round 5 sees Edgar drop Henderson before again eating some shots at the end.

I don't really think it's a robbery as such, but the fight should really have gone to Edgar

Johnson drops down in weight to the new flyweight division as he faces off against Ian McCall.

The fight was very close with McCall landing some big takedown and having a huge g&p finish at the end of the third in a shocking decision which is a whole lot worse than the Henderson over Edgar decision.

Dana then announces it is actually a draw and they were supposed to go to a 4th round.

    Crazy stuff.

    Jones vs Evans.

The two finally get it on after months of posturing.

Jones out strikes Evans over the duration of the not to take a routine decision home.

His claim as LHW goat just cannot be disputed.

    Dos Santos vs Mir

Frank is way past his best now but he is a big name.

JDS hurts him with every shot he throws and he refuses to engage on the ground which means Mir has zero chance of winning as he effectively quits during round 2.
