Maia and Thompson as WW contenders, probably the best striker and the best grappler in WW history.

I used to think Diaz was a bona-fide WW great, I've already ran out of places for him in my top 10 WW.

Maia has Fitch, Magny, Nelson and two very close losses on his ledger.

Thompson has Whittaker, Cote, Ellenberger and one very close loss on his ledger.

These two are ATG WW guys imo.

    Weidman vs Belfort.

Belfort starts strong as always but Weidman is able to survive the onslaught, take him down and land a huge g&p to end it in brutal form, cementing his place as an ATG.

    Rockhold vs Machida

Rockhold was on the wrong end if a brutal loss to Belfort but manages to secured a RNC over the still formidable dragon to rise back up the rankings.

    Romero vs Jacare

Romero edges the contest with the more effective strikes to really announce himself as a great talent.

    Rockhold vs Weidman.

BJJ vs Wrestler as Luke proved to be the better striker and the better grappler to claim his place as the best MW out there.

    Jones vs Cormier

Well isn't this a fight to spark debate. Does it prove just how great Jones is, or is it a PED tainted victory?

Cormier ran through the HW division to establish himself a top 5 fighter but he came down to LHW to do the same again. Jones is a bona-fide ATG at this point and the question remains as to how great he will be.

A very good back and forth fight with Jones utilising his reach advantage and proving he can match him in the grappling department, as we see Jones take a clear decision victory.

Cormier vs Rumble for the LHW crown

Jones has gone off the rails now and Johnson starts very strongly dropping Cormier early but Cormier soon takes it to the ground before securing an RNC to take the crown and secure himself as a genuine great.

    DC vs Gus

Once more Gus pushes the champ all the way just as he did with Jones.

DC controls large parts of the fight but Gus hurts and stuns DC a few times including dropping him heavily but DC does enough overall to further his credentials as a great LHW.

    Velasquez vs Werdum

Cain seemed nigh on unbeatable and he starts this fight in very dominant fashion but Werdum fights his way back into the fight with his improved striking.

Werdum begins to outstrike Cain and when Velasquez goes for a lazy takedown Werdum locks in a guillotine to become the new champ.

This becomes a rocky type fight as the two just swing for the fences before Mir drops and knocks out Todd to announce his comeback in style.

Stipe lost a very hard fought battle with JDS but he was able to out strike Hunt and force a stoppage to announce himself as a potential contender.
