yeah I basically look at fedors career the same way.

Picked the worst time to lose too, now talentless lesnar (coleman and kerr were more well rounded) is ranked the #1 heavy. Damn you werdum!!

Who exactly? Its been a merrigoround amongst the UFC's marquee fighters. Mir Sylvia then Couture. Who exactly was a threat to Brock when he first came to the UFC? Neither Carwin Cain or JDS were names in the UFC yet. There heavy division was pretty much a farce until some of the veterans arrived from PRIDE and then they bolstered there division with talent from other promotions. Other than that Dana gifted Lesnar the title. 2 fights 1 win 1 loss and then a title shot with a .500 record? Priceless. Absolutely priceless. I dont think even Vince McMahon was that obvious.

back then, people still have doubts if brock can pass though couture... everyone says "couture by sub", "if brock got subbed by mir, then he's in trouble when couture get's his hands on him", "he's too inexperienced", "couture can handle bigger guys, see gonzaga", "he won't last 5 rounds with couture", etc...

What subs? When has Couture even been known for his submission skills? And if hardly call Gonzaga a solid barometer as to why Randy would beat Lesnar.. Well me and you clearly watched different build ups to this fight. Randy has NEVER been able to deal with huge heavyweights. ESPECIALLY good grapplers. Brock is a mountain of a man. The writing was on the wall as far as i was concerned. Dana thought the same thing. Hence why he he all but wrapped title in wrapping paper and handed it to Brock.

    probably.

i'm not sure if it was this website or from another forum, but a lot of guys were favoring randy to win that and he was actually slightly ahead in the polls. i was wondering too. because even if i always root for randy, i know that brock has what it takes to beat him.

to be fair, those were not my comments... i was just writing what i read back then. although beating gonzaga actually gave me a glittering hope that randy could actually tire brock and win by UD.

gonzaga is pretty big randy manhandled him, tim is big randy whooped him, randy wasnt doing to bad against lesnar, had him cut maybe gassing a little then bamm and hammerfists lots of em.

dont ever bet against randy couture............... but dont bet on him either.

Randy surprised me immensely with what he did to Gonzaga. But Gonzaga is mentally weak. He doesnt have the fight in him that Randy does. That said it was a great result and not an indication of Randys record at all at heavy vs the better heavyweights.
