I was watching football the other day and found myself marveling at the tremendous athletic prowess of Steelers safety Troy Polamalu. He seems to have an ideal combination of speed, power, agility, good hands, and pure instinct. I began to wonder how well those phenomenal traits would translate in to MMA if he had began training to fight early on as opposed to focusing on football.

I'd be interested in hearing who others feel would make for a great professional fighter, hypothetically of course.

I'll never forget this sick fingertip interception.

And he can tackle too. Sick!

To repeat, I'm asking this question under the premise that they had trained to fight instead of playing football.
