That's exactly my point, if he only prepares 100% for every fight then things will be WAY easier. The reason he was dropped and hurt against McCline is his poor conditioning, you can't expect to handle any power when you're not conditioned well enough, he has the chin but if he doesn't work the body it will collapse on him whether he wants it to or not. Look for Vitali to try and take advantage of that if Peter gives him a chance. This fight would be huge, no doubts about it, would also be PPV material if Vitali was active. There is no way in HELL this would be boring, action from start in my opinion BUT Vitali's defense is really underrated. For a big man, he can fight going backwards, can move pretty well, has decent speed and has a solid chin. It will be very difficult for Peter to catch him but I'm pretty sure Vitali will run out of gas within the 4th tops and then Peter needs to take advantage of it. Though I'll be very worried about how Peter handles Vitali's power early in the fight because trust me you would see Vitali going in landing some vicious straight rights and Peter has poor defense. This is a hard fight to predict and anything could happen, but I will be really surprised if Vitali goes the distance after all those injuries and lay-off because if it does go the distance then Vitali takes it based on punches landed the same way Wladimir did. Now that we discussed this is this fight even on or getting any closer?, tried hard enough to search for any news site with new information regarding this but can't find anything. Is it still rumors or something serious is going?
For the McCline fight he had only 9 days to prepare for a completely different oppenent, which means only a few days with a sparring partner that mirrors McCline in style and in size, as far as the ruptured ear drum and broken hand excuses, there hard to believe and that was just Don King throwing things out there to help his fighters reputation. Heavyrighthand seems to find great articles regarding the Vitali/Peter match, but I havent heard anything in weeks. I plan to search a few sites on for recent news and updates. Last I heard Peter and Vitali's team have agreed upon a few things in the contract, but the venue is still up in the air, Vitali wants the fight to be held in Germany, Peter want's it in his homeland, so more inlikely it will be held in America. I just hope it happens.
For Peter's sake i hope he comes in great shape and he will have a good chance. With Vitali's long layoff .. ring rust and stamina might be an issue.. hell maybe even his age caught up to him. That said .. if Peter comes in the same shape as he did vs McCline .. i am pretty sure that if Vitali knocks him down he will finish him off... when it comes to finishing an opponent he is a very different animal from McCline. Vitali has a mean streak that Wlad does not have... if given the chance he will punish and finish off Peter.
It's obvious your just talking out of your ass,,,, Peter does not come in just throwing wild haymakers anymoreatsch
I would've thought some kind of tune-up fight, regardless of quality, would be a good idea for Peter. And an even better one for Vitali, but we've gone over this before.
Be sure: IF Vitali does fight he is 100% fit. He has never been sent to the canvas and he is a tough, a real tough fighter (his brother is a better boxer, but Vitali is the much better fighter which may have its origin in his kickboxing history).
While that may be true Finn73, you must remember Wlad hasnt been in with a live oppenent since Williams in December of 04, and in 05 while training for Rahman, he had terrible camps where he would not only injure himself, but was floored by less than stellar sparring partners, which made him cancel or postpone 4 scheduled fights with Rahman in 05. Peter is the number 2 and has yet to be dominated by anyone in his 31 fights, his only lose was to the current number 1 guy, a oppenent he floored 3 times and almost had out of there on a few occasions during that fight. All in all the 25 yearold Peter showed great heart, a strong chin, and extremely heavy hands. Now almost 3 years later he is the number 2 guy looking to destroy anyone in his way, similar to George Foreman in the early 70's.
Peter is a fraud...the real reason he doesn't want a tune up fight against a name opponent is that his handlers are afraid he will lose!! He wouldn't stand a chance against anyone in the top 10. He will get knocked out by the Iron Fist!!
He had his longest camp...in the interviews leading up to the fight Peter revealed that he went into camp immediately after the 1st fight...4 months. I still remember Peter's detractors saying that his African garb was covering his blown up overweight physique, which proved to be unfounded conjecture. Anyways, I'm discouraged by him not having another fight before Vitali...Peter's activity is an advantage he has over VITKLIT, that is not wise to give up voluntarily. After the turbulent waters Peter had to escape from in the McCline fight, I don't expect his team to throw him into a fight without more lengthy opponent specific training. Unfortunately they probably felt the window of time they had was closed.
The McCline situation was totally different and a tune-up is still possible. It's just getting confusing now, first he was rumored to fight Audley, then Vitali, then Golota and now it's just the same old question mark with nothing official nor 100%. He could just fight Audley Harrison as a tune-up then go for Vitali, it's the best fight he could ask for right now, as s tune-up/decent type of fight.
Your a goddamn idiotatsch Won't stand a chance against any of the top 10 LMFAO,, HE IS NUMBER 2 DUMBASS
