Since he went 12 rounds with WMM
who shouldnt have been fighting at such a high weight...
It will depend on the politics of the fight.
At what weight? - If not 140 then it isnt a HUGE deal.
If it is by points running the entire night. It is slightly better than his win against WMM
It the ring isnt 16 ... which I will bet if the fight happens it will be HW size. Like 20 feet.

    So hopefully the fight WILL
happen at 140 Lbs in a 16ft ring.

I want Floyd to fight Williams IF Williams wins his next fight or even SD loss his next fight. I think at 147/154 Williams can out game Mayweather. IE jab all night long from LONG distance.

The winner of this fight sees his all-time ranking leapfrog some spots.

This is basically correct, except that Pacquiao is another cherry pick for Mayweather. This was always part of the PBF plan, seeing as how Floyd is much larger than Pacquiao and thus he should be able to dominate him, physically, as he did JMM.

Make no mistake -- Pac is a handpicked PBF opponent, much as Mitchell, Baldomir, etc all were. Yes, he's a bit more live than some of the others, but if the two men were the same natural size PBF would not come within 10 miles of Pacquiao.

The Mayweather that took on Corrales is long, long gone. PBF sees Pac as an easy way to make a lot of $$$ for relatively low risk and steal back the P4P ranking against a "midget."

If PBF wins, of course his legacy will increase. Just as it did against JMM. But such an increase in that legacy will be balanced by the fact that the guy he would have beaten began his career at 106 lbs.

There is much more potential upside here, legacy-wise, for Pacquiao. As it should be, since he is the much smaller fighter, naturally.

For fighting Pac alone, Mayweather deserves to be in the top 5, that just shows that he grew back his balls that some nuthuggers sucked to oblivion.

But it is never going to happen!! I mean Mayweather fighting Pac.

Pac vs PBF will definitely happen. Too much money to be made for it not to happen. Look for the fight around June 2010.

I like both Pac and PBF. However I've been die hard PBF fan much longer. Being the objectionable fight fan that I am, and judging from last night performance, I'm leaning toward Pac beating PBF in a very close but controversial decision. But we'll see.

One question, where does Mosley fit into all this?

If Floyd beats Pacquiao he deserves all the credit in the world, Pac is the only fighter right now that poses a threat to Floyd imo. Williams can beat him but I highly doubt he can
    make 147 anymore.

  10. if floyd beats pacquiao on points i dont think it would improve his legacy too much at this point. he has dodged far too many boxers for anyone to take him seriously. however, if he dismantles pacquiao who knows what might happens.
