imo degale will win pts, but its not a certainty, if he comes unstuck, the gold will look a bit more like its been plated rather than the real thing, he always mentions it like its a passport to a world title, but not in this day and age, running and slapping as fast as you can, means **** in pro boxing. Its hard to adjust fully when you've spent the bigger part of your boxing life doing it, smith is a stand up boxer with less flair than degale, but is tough and determined, and to be honest not a man to be having a great struggle with if your going to be world champ, never mind a loss to him.:think:good

If DeGale loses, he'll probably be full of excuses..

This is a tough fight for DeGale but I still think he'll win. Like any other boxer he'll be full of the usual "I'm not making any excuses but.." He isn't the first arrogant boxer and I'm sure he won't be the last.

I don't think he's been using the gold medal as much as some might have though. So far he seems to have gone about his professional career the right way and it's good to see him going after the British title at this stage.

Personally i see no difference in arrogance between him and Groves, Both are punchy and bit dim. Both fancy themselves as the next big thing. DeGale gets a lot more stick and questioning about ''cockyness'' because of ring entrances and the way he talks. He's naturally confident where as Groves put's it on IMO.

If DeGale loses there will not be one excuse. If Smith loses there will not be one excuse. We all need to just sit back and enjoy this for what it is and it is very, very good.

    Adios.

I reckon Smith will win. DeGale will learn from the experience and come back stronger....then get beat off Groves!

    Probably it turns into arrogance.
