Hey guys, While all the discussion is raging with who Khan will fight next, I can't help but wonder what will happen to Kotelnik now that he has lost. While i'm overjoyed for Khan, I do feel a little sorry for Kotelnik. In a previous interview, he mentioned that it took him 7 years to earn this title, and yet hr *could* now potentially be back to the drawing board. (Note, I say "could", because i have no idea). What do the ESB experts see his options as? If you were his promoter, which opponent would you want him to fight next?
he could end up being a fighter like Gianluca Branco were he holds a european title and defends in germany and gets a few gifts
Rematch with Maidana. It was a close fight that could have gone either way and I am sure Maidana will want to avenge his only loss to date.
I am sure he is hoping Mallignaggi gets by Diaz, because the casual boxing fans know him from the Hatton fight and he sells a fight, whilst also being a very low risk opponent for Khan.
Which makes me wonder why everyone was billing him as genuine world class before the fight. Or did Khan beat the world class out of him?:hey Kotelnik has options at Euro level but that's about it.
I think thats a little harsh. Khan was a severe stylistic nightmare for him. Scoring was pretty ridiculous as well!
